Good Morning Jennifer and Menuers,
Wednesday is my favorite day of the week. I got to take mom to cards, and I am taking care of the neighbor's garden and picking up the mail while they are away. When I get home, I am making and awesome zucchini shrimp recipe and then I will watch Big Brother. I don't know why I have always been a fan. I guess it is like a trainwreck to me.
Jen did you know egg face when she was here? She was gone before my surgery, and she posted some health issues on her blog then Poof she has not even updated her blog in years. I wonder if she is still alive. You are absolutely right she does offer some great suggestions for food choices. Glad her page is still up.
QOTD: I would have always kept clothes that were 2 sizes bigger as I was going down. You never know where you are going to land and once you get that little bounce back those tiny clothes are no longer making you feel good when you no longer fit in them. Rebuying sizes you tossed sucked. My lowest was size 4-6. That is a joke to me now.
Accountability: Butter biscuits I should have never bought from the Aldi.
TSS: 7 years 7-months 19-days 169.2 Lowest (129.4)
B: Coffee with SF Coffee-Mate Chocolate Caramel creamer
MS: egg bites
CB: Coffee with SF Coffee-Mate Chocolate Caramel creamer
L: stuffed cabbage roll
Exercise: dog walking
Water and Vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I also use MiraLAX and fiber in my first coffee of the day.
Have a great day my friends.
Brightest Blessings
Chrissy

I didn't personally know her, but she would post for newbies to help them out when they were struggling with what to eat. I think she is on FB now but left her blog up since it has so much information.
Chrissy, Shelly was active on the RNY forum when I was in '06, her surgery was 6 months before mine. When you got a reply from her it felt like getting to talk to a celebrity. But I mostly hung out with my surgery month group and also the Washington state group so I didn't get to know her very well. Sadly, OH dumped all those old boards years ago. I remember her getting very fired up over the Obesity Action Coalition, taking part in their conventions and even going before Congress to gather support for changing the insurance laws to allow more people access to bariatric surgery. She is currently listed on the Governance and Financials staff on the OAC web page as Senior Program Manager.
It was always fun reading her blog, she'd get on a kick of making a bunch of different versions of one thing in a row. I'm glad she left it up to share with others.
Thank you for the link to the Zucchini Spaghetti...I'm going to zip over to have a look.

You're right...how did it get to be the end of July already?
QOTD: I'd have gotten into therapy for finding ways to deal with overeating addiction. Starting the generic of 'Contrave' in May was a wakeup call that I am truly addicted to overeating and eating for comfort. (The Naltrexone component works particularly well for addictions.) But I had young kids and a crazy-early job and couldn't make the time for it. I didn't start the regain until the 10th year when a stress event triggered big life changes and I didn't cope in a healthy way.
Haven't done much of what I need to do because I tweaked my upper back last week and it's worse every day. It must be a pinched nerve because I have pain going straight from my right scap across and down the right arm into my hand. My dr. said to be icing/heating it and rest it. The rest part is hard.
Thank you for the help on my plateau...I'm attacking it by cutting carbs even more (dr. said to keep under 20 for the day), remembering to push the water and keep exercising what doesn't hurt, haha.
B: coffee with sf Choc/caramel creamer
L: my beloved protein/collagen shake
D: probably an egg bite with green beans and zucchini since I'll be making a fresh batch of egg bites to freeze today.
Better start those egg bites!

Super late post for me. Yesterday just got away from me.
My mom had a sonogram on her liver. She's been rather high wired the past few days. It's been stressful but it's just what it is. Despite all that stuff I am doing a tepid ok and I'll take that gladly. My CT scan with contrast is going to most likely be next Thursday the seventh. I'll be glad to get both scans done with. This'll be my 5th myelogram.
I didn't get to making the chili but I'll be making it today. Hoping it'll be edible. I'm not following a recipe so it's kind of fly by the seat of your pants.
QOTD: therapy...can't say that enough. I did not handle the back injury well at all and I think if I had taken the therapy suggestions I would have been able to continue on a successful path. I think it's a great tool that a lot of people probably need. I crashed and burned and started with a therapist way too late. Not that I minded the therapy, it helped with other things. Exercise had been a therapy of sorts and when I couldn't do much anymore I almost gave in.
B: protein bar, egg, feta and coffee
L: I unfortunately had a late breakfast and had a cold brew and the breakfast potatoes at Wendy's. It ended up with a spike in my BS of course. I also had a couple of pieces of candy(a mini cherry mash - 70 calories and a Hershey fun size - 60 calories) oh and 5 peanut M&M's. All the chocolate sans one is out of site. My mom went a little crazy with chocolate because she's worried about the august 1st tariff thing. She's much much better at pacing herself. I am not. BUT it's my fault for putting it in my mouth!
D: burger pita thing, cracker sticks with cheese dip thing. Oh and baby carrots.
all in all I ended up with 2048 calories. Could've been worse but it also could've been a lot better. No chocolate today.
