What's on your Thursday Menu?
Good Friday eve gang. So yet again Primo brand water did not make the scheduled delivery to work yesterday. It seems like ever since they merged with Ready Refresh and another company, I have to call for every delivery because they either reschedule it or just cancel it. They will not like what I have to say to them when I have to call again to find out where my delivery is.
In other news the state police stopped by work to let us know that skeletal remains were found in the water by the boat launch that is off our access road to the plant. A week or two ago a body was found at the boat launch and we still don't know how that person died.
QOTD: When and why did you join OH? I had to look at my profile because honestly I thought I had joined in 2003 after I had the Lapband done, but I was wrong it was in 2005. I do remember the reason. I was having at the time minor issues with the band and trouble with fills. So, I searched the internet and stumbled upon OH. The site has definitely helped me along my journey.

Good Thursday morning all.
today we have a plumber coming out to do the kitchen line and replace the insides of the toilet in the house. Thank goodness we have the one in the garage! It just started to run non stop so we turned it off. Will be so glad to get it fixed. I've hated that Koehler thing since it was installed, the plumber my grandma used only used those in handicapped toilets. Yes that plumber was an ass LOL. We also have to do the last payment on property taxes.
i am hoping to get in a walk or stationary bike ride. I did find out that my CT scan for my shoulder will be on the 7th unless my orthopedic doctor says I should wait longer after my myelogram on the 5th.
i had a lot of candy yesterday and I can't even say why. And it did indeed make me sick eventually. Lesson learned...for now anyways lol.
QOTD: it was on the literature my doctors office gave me. I've made a lot of friends, some not on here anymore but I still see them as friends. I've had some folks not be nice but the nice people way out weigh the bad.
B: eggs, cheese, turkey sausage and coffee
L: not sure as the plumber will be here around then
D: green chili chili! Excited to try this out. Will report tomorrow!
old photo at the end and two memes.
Happy Friday-Eve! That is scary that bodies and remains are being found, I hope they are able to find out what's going on soon.
QOTD: The site was suggested in the informational binder I got from my surgical team. I started reading probably a month or two before my surgery.
Menu today is the same as yesterday and should be the last of the shredded pork. Exercise done (so far the adjustment to using a rower is going ok, my calorie burn isn't the same as the elliptical but I think as soon as I get the right posture and rythm I will be able to speed up. Vits and water on track.
I hope that everyone has a great day.
I joined in 2003 when a friend had RNY and told me about the site. Back then it waq very busy and a lot of people had lapbands and seemed to be sick and vomiting everyday. I finally saw a weight loss surgery doctor in 2007 and he said that a lapband was not what he recommmend for me. I had RNY in October 2007.
I was very active on another site and very successful with the weight loss. But at 30 months I started gaining back. My surgeon told me that would happen but it was so depressing to not longer fit in my clothes. The site I was on was really focused on selling their protein shakes and some of them were awful. te I found good and bad advise here and learned who to communicate with and who to ignore.
I was trying to eat like a "normal" person with meat, vegetables, and a starch at every meal. Lots of pasta, noodles, or mashed potatoes. Lots of home baked cakes, pies, and cobblers, and ice cream. It did not make me sick, it just made me gain weight. I finally got control during the pandemic.
I joined Weigh****chers Online. They were developing their new program and I was part of helping to test it. With that program I finally got all the excess weight off and sometimes doctors want me to gain more. My goal was 136 and I got down to 118. I am 126 and that is a good weight for me. I learned a lot from this site and a lot from Weigh****chers. This is not an easy journey but still glad I had the surgery and got control of the weight.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good morning, everyone!
Well, my tooth is broken all the way below the gum line, so I have to get it extracted and put in an implant. That is about a seven month process. It's what I was expecting, so I can't say I'm really bummed out or anything.
I did just make it into the office, so I better run. I will probably keep my food pretty soft today. And I will ask Jennifer about Connecticut River murders and answer QOTD tomorrow .
P. S., it's Lollapalooza, so not exactly quiet in the office today.
