Good morning gang. How was everyone's weekend? I didn't get blueberry picking as I ended up having to fix the electric fence that goes around the paddock. It wasn't zapping, so I weed wacked all around the bottom wire, fixed a few wire insulators that were broke and put a new handle on the top wire I use as a gate. After that Irvin needed some help with welding a piece of steel to the dump truck. I had to hold one end in place while he tack welded it on.

QOTD: Would you rather climb a mountain or go deep sea diving? I like the ocean, but there are way too many unknowns in the deep dark depths of the ocean, so I will take on a mountain any day.

B: coffee and cottage cheese with raspberries

L: salad with grilled steak

D: grilled pork ribs and summer squash

Treadmill and weight machines at the Y.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Good morning, everybody!

Weekends go to fast. We did the Lifescan screening on Friday. It took about an hour for 5 tests: bone density, AFIB, Carotid artery, something with blood clots in the arms and legs, and one I can't remember. Out of the hour, signup actually took the longest. We will get our results in about 10 days.

Yesterday I did a Sprint Triathlon. Hopefully, it will be a good warmup for the longer one in three weeks.

I am traveling for work today, early morning because I had a 7:00 AM flight. It's a one day trip, I will be home tonight.

QOTD: I've never dove, although it looks fun, so I'm going to go with mountains. However, I'm talking about hiking, not technical climbing with ropes, etc. That would terrify me.

Breakfast: muffin

Lunch: catered

Dinner: Chili

Have a great day, all!

Definitely hiking. I'm not into hanging off the side of a mountain by ropes either.

Our weather has been delightful, sunny, high 70s with a light breeze. In a condo there is nothing to do outside excep****ch the yard people do yard work. We are not allowed to grow agricultural products of any kind, not even a tomato on the porch.

Last summer one of my neighbors who is a doctor grew a beautiful garden in her backyard. Nobody wanted to say anything to her but board members were all upset. She is such a nice person and just did not know about the rules. They are not written down anywhere. She has no garden this year so I am sure someone talked to her about it.

People sometimes start gardens and then leave vegetables on the ground that attract rodents. There is woods behind us with lots of racoons, chipmonks, and I am sure mice and rats if something is left out to attract them.

Both the ocean and mountains are attractive to me. I did some mountain climbing when I was younger and never did deep sea diving. The diving would be fun as I love to see fish in the ocean.

The mountains I climbed were hiking. No ropes. I worked with a lady who made it a goal to climb Mount Everest. She trained with her husband and they climbed Mt Everest together. That is quite an achievement.

You put blueberries on my mind today so I bought some. Sorry you didn't get to go picking after all. The berries are dinner today with plain yogurt and raw pumpkin seeds. Breakfast was just my usual protein shake. No lunch or snacks.

You are a very good steward of your animals and I imagine it takes a lot of work.

QOTD: You made a very good point about the ocean but I cannot do heights, can't even watch videos of people climbing mountains. Haha, my FIL tried to 'cure' me when we were touring in Germany at a castle built into the side of a cliff back in the 80's. He pulled me toward the edge and said, 'Here, you just face this and conquer it.' He was one of a kind.

I've had regular dizzy spells recently and figured its just not eating enough. This morning it was a bit worse so I checked my bp (sky high is normal for me) and it was 80-something over 50. The internet says that's just borderline low but I haven't been that low that since almost checking out after an aneurysm. Meant to call my dr. today but the phone blew up over news of a death in the family so there's been shock, sadness, plans and travel arrangements to deal with. The generic Contrave is working so well I didn't immediately wish for comfort food, yay. Actually having to make myself eat but it's maybe time to get bp meds adjusted. What a start to the week, huh? I'm surprised I can still eat because normally when I'm really sad my pouch just closes up. Have any of you experienced that since your RNY's?

One more time I'll try to upload a pic. This is my fav. picture of my FIL on the day of his retirement. He had an amazing career in the Navy. Cmdr. Spradley

Ugh, I just can't upload photos.
