It's Friday-Eve Gang one more day and the weekend is here. Yea I'm posting super early as I have a dentist appointment at 7:45. Things were pretty quiet at work yesterday and I don't think there is much going on today just the typical work day stuff.

QOTD: Do you think the whole go solar thing is good? Honestly as much as I would love to go green and supply my own electric I don't think solar panels on a house roof is a good idea. I've heard of people having nothing but issues with their roofs after installment or their panels not working correctly and the company who installed them don't want to hold up their end of the deal. I've also done a little research and it appears the batteries used have less than a 10 year life span and they are costly to replace that the homeowner has to pay for themselves.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: seafood stuffed mushrooms and french onion soup

D: cheese stuffed chicken burgers

I think Irvin has some solar rep coming out so I don't think we will be going to the Y tonight. I'm not very happy about it as over the years we've had several come out and we've always told them no.

Have a great day everyone!!

Good mornin y'all.

Not much happening today. That I know of anyway. I'm feeling rough as usual. I think that'll never change ha.

I might go to Walmart later or a different grocery store. I need a few things.

QOTD: done right yes, all in on it. I don't think roof ones are the best. It also depends on the area. High wind areas they can be dangerous. A lady in New England somewhere was killed by a panel blown off the roof of a car port. I live in an area where high winds are VERY common not to mention the hail we get. I wouldn't get them on my house...maybe our big shed. All in all I think things will get better because some things need to be improved upon.

B: egg pita sandwich and coffee

L: half an enchilada

D: haven't decided.

So sad that you are having another rough day. Sure wish there was a doctor or clinic to help you feel better.

You and your brother were cuties!

I follow a YT'er whose channel has been about him building a cabin out in the Canadian wilderness ('The Outsider') and he has the coolest solar setup I've ever seen...a whole structure just to hold the panels and the best angle for his property. If we had a large enough yard that would be the way to go so the roof doesn't get ruined. But like you said...rain and hail. We get some whopper windstorms here in E. Washington. Not so much the hail that often but it always impresses me.

Hi or maybe I should say 'Good Evening' since I'm here so late. Didn't sleep well last night, our elderly kitters has been having some bad days and it was a bad night last night. Almost thought we'd better make "The Decision" today. But in the morning she was better, even did her morning sprinting. So I fell asleep around 4 and slept late so the whole day was off kilter. Hit my fav two closest thrift stores for a pair of jeans to fit (nada) and some actual fabric plus clothes to use as fabric. It's been an all-dairy day today. I'm going to try hard to behave myself this evening. eek

B: tall mug coffee, 1 T powdered creamer

L: 1 wedge Laughing Cow Light cheese

S: a chocolate protein shake in between shopping stops

D: another LC wedge, 1 oz cheddar "sneaked" making dinner for Hubs, 2 T refried beans also sneaked cooking (not a good habit!!!),1 c nonfat Greek Yogurt w/1/2 tsp sf orange Jello powder

S: ? Coming up only at 66 gr protein and a 1,037 calorie deficit so I might have another protein shake?

QOTD: Every year lately the city sends around solicitors pushing their solar program. But you end up with a damaged roof, heavily in debt and you don't even own the power you produce. It goes to the city and you get credits towards your bill and what you owe the city for the panels. Every municipality is different of course. I like the concept but don't think it is as Green as we've been told. Just think of the environmental pollution of constructing those batteries and panels and after they've been used, they aren't usually recycled because of lack of specialized facilities. Didn't anybody think ahead to the impact those used parts were going to have on the environment?

Hope your dental appointment went well.

Onward to Friday!

The Town of Brookhaven is offering free panels too ... your posts make me grateful I never got solar over the years .

I WOULD get on - lawn ( the house and pool fence are South - facing so all day sun ) panels to free- heat the very large and deep gunite pool though - its got a diving board on one end so you KNOW its gonna be cold .

If I was keeping the main house I would do a plastic hoop house / greenhouse over the pool for three seasons and take it down in summer ... but Thank God pool maintenance wont be my responsibility much longer .

Yesterday - oat cereal w lowfat milk

pb sandwich on whole wheat bread

d - roast beef ( fat removed) pastrami n

turkey breast open faced sandwiches

onion roll . " watermelon margarita " flavored beer lol

fat free milk w booze before sleeping - not a good habit to get into ( take your prescribed sleeping pill Grrrl !! )
