Good Morning Gang. Sorry for the late posting. Woke up to 6inches of snow so I messaged my boss and told him I would be in late. I shoveled around the car and Jeep, started them up while Irvin got the plow truck ready. I took my time getting in since the back roads were rather crappy. The highway was good though.

The Patriots won against the Texans, so we are off to play the Broncos who unfortunately lost their starting quarterback to an ankle injury. I do feel bad he got hurt, but that might just give the Pats and advantage.

We added another breeding pair of rabbits to the herd. They are Californians white with black ears and facial features. Very excited about them since they were one breed I really wanted. I was able to trade a Silver Fox doe for the Californian doe and paid $25 for the buck.

QOTD: Do you feel you eat balanced meals (protein, vegetables, etc)? For the most part I do. There are some days that I just do protein and forgo the other stuff I've made.

B: coffee and 2 eggs with ham and cheese

L: rabbit stew (OMG it came out so good for the first time making it)

D: 1 country fried chicken thigh with steamed zucchini

The Y is open today so we will be hitting that after I get home from work.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Good mornin y'all.

i have two appointments today at the same place. That's about all I've got going. It's going to be chilly today. They are saying snow this weekend. Not too happy about that part. I have an appointment of some kind every freakin day this week. We were supposed to get fiber internet Saturday but they were running late so we decided to reschedule to Wednesday. Pain clinic tomorrow. Rheumatologist Thursday and pt Friday. We have to get a lot of laundry done. I cleaned yesterday while my mom went to the last lord of the rings movie at the theater. I also napped which was nice. The tv never came on for over 4 hours. Ahhhh heaven! LOL

weight loss is going well along with tracking. Down 10 pounds in total in about 2.5 weeks. My blood sugars have been great. So I am very happy with that.

QOTD: sometimes. Dinner and breakfast almost always. Lunch is the crap shoot. Sometimes I do the easy thing.

B: egg, ricotta, onion and low carb toast.

L: probably a burrito and an apple.

D: I'm wanting fish and some broccoli

I got a 4qt instant pot on clearance. I'm so happy about it. I am making some steel cut oats today for the week and maybe some beans tomorrow.

an old favorite!

Edit: Congratulations on the 10# loss!!! And the good BG's. That's tremendous!

How great you got the house to yourself and with no tv for 4 hours...that must have been a mini vacation! As you get further out from surgery are you having any less pain? I hope and pray you are. Hey, send that snow north to us please. We've only had one really good snow storm. We had the normal dry, brown Christmas in Eastern Washington so Ma Nature owes us. If we don't get more snowpack and colder temps there will be a nasty amount of bugs next summer and they'll put us on water restrictions.

Fish and broccoli sounds delicious. I'd add in some mashed Kabocha and be in heaven. My sister told me she got a fresh Kabocha today and it was $12. Sticker shock for sure.

Have a great week and may the appointments all be time well spent. Good score on that little Instant Pot. Mine mostly gets used for HB eggs: 4 minutes pressure, 4 minutes cool time then into an ice bath. I tried the 5,5,5 technique for it and the eggs came out pretty green so I reserve that for the big IP. Have fun with your new kitchen toy!

Glad you got safely to work. The amount of snow the East has gotten is insane. I couldn't believe the drone footage of that pileup on the interstate in Michigan. With all the preseason prep Irvin and you did for your Buns' living quarters I know they are happy and toasty in their better digs in all these snow storms, you are good stewards of your animals. Your new breeders must be so beautiful!

QOTD: Absolutely not since the web version of my tracker went away. I can still use the phone app but it is clunky, buggy-acting and I just don't reach for it like I should. That's a pretty poor excuse, I admit. In the last 8 months there's been little fruit and veggies. But I'm trying to add more home-canned veg and mincing raw veg to add to protein dishes. My days are still one frozen protein shake for breakfast and lunch (it is really big from lots of ice and holds me till dinner) then a meal of 3 oz meat protein and 1/2 c either FF cottage cheese or FF Greek Yogurt. A Premier Protein shake in the evening to bring the protein count up. The poor diet has caused my hair to MaHoosively fall out and I now have a few balding patches. Doing all the vitamins in hopes of growing baby hairlets.

Finally I got over the flu/cold/whatever that lasted a month and grateful. Hubby brought home a stomach bug during that time yuck. All the cold meds made the ulcer flair. A couple times I nearly had hubs take me to a minor emergency. One of my cousins died from her bleeding ulcer last April so I try to keep track of it better now. No cold meds (or coffee or diet colas) and the tummy is happy again.

Surgical checkup today (still have swelling, normal) and then I dashed to the thrift store to try to get smaller jeans. No dressing rooms because of the zombies but I can try on at home and return if they don't fit.

Hoping you get a break from the weather and keep safe and warm.
