I wish I had some special formula or technique or plan! The bottom line for me though is the same as it is for anybody else: I ate less calories than I burned. Last year when I lost re-gain #3, hubby went keto at right about the same time. It's not for me (full/true keto) but apparently I was eating way more than I realized of the goodies we kept around here for him. So my goal was 177, but when the snacks and extra bites and such were eliminated the weight kept coming off.
Somewhere around here is a post I wrote about losing my regains. It's long and unwieldy (sp?) but it's still my best answer to the regain question. You've been around awhile so you've likely seen it. If you haven't, let me know and I can repost or PM you.
Why do you think a re-sleeve will resolve/improve your GERD? Do you have evidence to backup your assessment or is it because you're scared of RNY and need to do more research? To me it sounds like your surgeon is making the correct recommendation.
Not sure if you're aware but development of GERD is a risk of VSG. To resolve (or minimize) it, many surgeons recommend revision to RNY as the best long term treatment. If you don't trust your surgeon then I suggest meeting with 1-2 other bariatric surgeons for their professional opinions.
Good luck.
YES, she couldn't keep anything down. She had to get used to the new pouch. I am going at 100. i am nervous. I came to work.
Her surgeon was Dr. Kumbhari also?....that makes me feel good. Sounds like some success with his procedures.
Was her 1st week very painful or was it just the restriction that she had to get used to?
Sorry for the million questions....but I am trying to get all the info I can in anticipation..thanks
she wants to lose 50 all together. She also said the restriction is better than the first surgery.
WOW....that is awesome! How much does she have to lose... Trying to put it in prospective? Looks like she is really doing what she should be doing! So proud of her...su*****entive!
How is she doing now...hope she is losing weight.
I will be praying for you on Wednesday...whenever you can please post and keep me updated! What a way to start the New Year!
i am having my procedure with Dr K on Wed. I am supper excited, but my best friend had the same procedure and she told me the first week on the recovery side was hell. I hope not, but this a second chance for me to make things right.
Hi I was sleeved in May 2015 and have developed GERD. I originally was inquiring if I could be re-sleeved since I noticed the reflux after weight gain. My surgeon instead thinks a RNY is better. I am terrified to have this procedure. Can you advise your surgery experience and recovery? I still think a re-sleeve will resolve/improve my issue.
