Hi friends! First let me apologize that I have been neglecting the site- I have been busy! Anyway, does anyone know of a breakfast cereal that is no-to-very-low sugar? I spend half an hour reading labels in the grocery store before I got frustrated and left. I don't want it for every day consumption, but just something to switch up my breakfast routine so I don't get bored. Thanks! Love, Christine

I was wondering how you are doing. So how are? I found a ceral, Special K for Carb something. It is low in carbs, the lowest I have seen and has 10 grams of protein per 3/4 cup. It is good. I tried the other day and was able to tolerate it VERY well. But that is not saying much, I have been able to tolerate just about everything. I thought about getting some dried fruit to put on top to start getting some fruits in. When I figure out the name of the ceral I will let you know. I do know it is a Special K brand of ceral in a blue box (I think) I am not being much help am I. I survived the weekend.... now I just have to survive this weekend I am already booked from Thursday night till Monday AM. Why do I get myself into this? Hugs Julie

You are right it is special k in a blue box and it is for carb counters. I like it. It is even good without milk.

I just got quaker weight conscious oatmeal. It is yummy and has 7 grams of protein. I know that you are newer out than I, but its doesn't really expand after you eat it, just go slow. Hope it helps Mary

Hey Y'all, I am doing well, Julie, thanks for asking. I have not called a cardiologist yet- I know, I know.... Anyway, I think the Special K is called Special K Protein (?) but I did note it was in a blue box, so likely it is the same one. I'll give it a try. I, too, can tolerate just about anything and everything, so I need to be more conscious of getting in all my requirements instead of going back to the habit of eating whatever is quick and convenient. Thanks for the tips! Hugs, Christine

Yep you are right, it is Special K Protein Plus. I have read the box last night. Have you had anymore episodes? I just found out I can not tolerate sugar WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never been so happy. I had some shanghai wings at Chili's with a salad (Ranch dressing) and I got sick as a dog. I am VERY happy that I am sugar intoleratant. I was getting worried that I would be able to tolerate sugar and then fall back into my old ways. I can total relate to quick and convenient. Especially after this weekend. I carried protein bars everywhere with me now. I also made a big pot of chili (the pouch really like it) and kept that on hand. It was quick and easy just to pop it in the microwave. Why dont you fix some good healthy stuff and keep in the fridge. If you have not tryed the Q-smart bars, try them. They have 10 grams of protein and keep me full for about 3 hours. They come in Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter and Cranberry Vanilla Almond. They are only about 1 oz. so they are small. Well I am off to go have breakfast, cheese grits. Have a great Memorial Day. Hugs Julie

I found them at Publix and I think my Mom found them at Harris Teeter in the breakfast isle near the other breakfast bars. Enjoy. I find them yummy. Julie

I looked at the Piggly WIggly by me and did not see them. I have also seen them at Target.
