Dr. Byrne preformed my gastric bypass.  He is a very good doctor.  At times his bedside manner is a little lacking.  That doesn't really bother me.  He is to the point.

The staff at MUSC is outstanding. 

Good luck to you.  I don't believe that choosing Dr. Byrne would be a bad choice at all.  You will love him and his accent.

ok-not to brag but this is the place to say "I cannot believe"....but I did it! I ran the Delaware marathon this morning in Wilmington, my 3rd one, and my best time yet (4 hours 29 minutes).

I am 30 months out, have made some mistakes with my post-op life, gained some weight since being at goal...but never felt better! I will continue to work towards goal...but feel GREAT!!!

And it all started July 4th, 2007 when I decided to take up running-bought some sneakers and ran 7/10ths of a mile....and today I just finished running 26 miles. Its possible, its hard, but attainable-whatever your goal

And Dr Bour and staff are AWESOME. They are always there for you. I had to walk into my 2 yr appt and admit I had fallen off the wagon so to speak...and they helped me without placing blame or making me feel like an idiot
