Hey there, sorry to hear you are in a rutt. Anything you want/need to talk about? Let me know, I'm a good listener!
I sure hope you achieve this milestone soon, and I know you will. Keep in mind I still have 100 pounds to lose though, since I am so short, lol!
I didn't make the last Meeting, but I will be going to the Transition Class today.
I had my 4 week follow-up yesterday and they thought I am doing well. Now I need to learn to eat all over again, lol!!! I am lost again, just like I was for the pureed stage. And I am SOOOOOOOOO glad this is over, haha!
We are also moving this week (moving to the house next door
), so I will be actually to busy to make another Meeting, but I hope you have a lot of fun and I promise I will be going to the next one. Godwilling that is!!!
Give me a call sometime, maybe we can get together for a cup of coffee or so!
Chat later,
Heike

Topic: RE: Did Anyone Use The Medicaid Plan First Choice by Select Health?
What did they require for a weight loss history? I have every weight related disease there is so I should get approved. I had weigh****chers and all kinds of things to show I tried.

I am so happy for you Heike! I have been in a rutt. I still have not broke that yet. Just about 5 more pounds. Then I will be there also! You are doing a great job! Keep up the great work! Also if you didn't go to the meeting last Tuesday night, they are having one this Thursday at 12pm. I will be attending that one. I have a dr appt at 10:20 in Mt Pleaseant. Then I will head over to MUSC. Let me know if you would like to go to the meeting at Noon. Again Keep up the awesome work!

Topic: RE: Did anyone use Dr Rowitz
It is a good idea to go to a couple of seminars to get a feel for the different doctors. I chose dr Strickland in Columbia and I loved him.
Topic: RE: Anyone in the Greenwood or Anderson area??
I live in Honea Path and I would love to be involved in a support group. I had surgery in Columbia and it is too far to go to the support group at Dr Strickland's office.

I'll talk to Dr. Ross when I see him sometime next month and find out what we'd have to do to set up a group of our own. I'll let everyone know what I find out.

I would be very intrested in this idea. I live in Greenwood but go to school full time and am never able to make the meetings at Dr. Bours. And I feel as though I really need some kind of support group.
Topic: RE: HELP - Does DR. *****ett do PROGRAM FEES?
Thanks Chris. I too have had back surgery and still having problems, will this help me get the surgery any faster? I called the office and his fee is $500 which is still better then $2000..
Topic: RE: PROGRAM FEE HELP
KymI'm with you. It doesn't make any sense to me to have to pay a fee like that, when there's a doc in another town/county whatever that is just as qualified and doesn't charge any extra fees.

Some of the bariatric surgeons require you pay a program fee to start the surgery process. One I went to wanted a 2000 dollar fee. I just can't afford it and thought if I have insurance that pays most of the surgery why would I want to pay a fee that is no covered by insurance. But that is just me. I checked around. I found out that not all centers charge that program fee. I guess it is your own preference but I just can't see paying it when there are wonderful other groups that allow you to keep that fee in your pocket to use elsewhere and offer the same support and post op following. Like I said it is just a personal choice.Kym
