Already losing !!!

Hey folks, I finally made it to my home today. I can't believe it. On my surgery day last Monday I weighed in at 331 lbs. Well, today I stepped on the scales for the first time since then and it read 319!! 12 lbs. already gone?! I guess this must be the start of THE RIDE!!! Plus, I can see my ankle bones for the first time in the last 5 years. And I've had no swelling in my ankles since the 3rd day after surgery! I had a little nauseau 2 or 3 times after drinking my protein shakes and after a cup of chicken soup, but no other problems really. I'm still a bit sore at the incision points, especially the big one where the scope and stapler passed through, but that's gettin better each day. I was surprised that I had NO REAL PAIN from this surgery, little soreness in the belly, but no real pain. Not that I'm complaining. I just find it somewhat amazing considering what they do to your stomach and innards! And I don't even really want to eat anything, at least not so far.  Again, THANKS to all of you for the thoughts, prayers, and well wishes. You're a dang good bunch in my book!! WooWHOOOOO!!! This ride is gonna be somethin!!!

I am so happy to hear your news!  I, too, am still amazed that I had no pain and very little soreness.  I came home needing NO diabetes meds and NO blood pressure meds.  This is truly a miracle from God and I'm so glad we both did it!

Great News Bob!

Hey Bob! Wazzzz uppp?  How you feelin now buddy? No more problems with the swallowing I hope.  I finally made it all the way home today, thank goodness. Ain't no place like home, ya know.  I'll try to give you a call sometimes tomorrow. Take care!
