Hi Kristin, My company's insurance covers WLS, but only to treat morbid obesity, but as of right now, the only cover the RNY, and anyways, we are letting people go, not hiring. BUT, I did notice that you are from Layton, as I am, so I wanted to say hello! I ended up taking out a home equity loan to pay for my LapBand surgery in November. Good luck in your new career path! Hey Kristen~ My husband works for our insurance... DMBA, Deseret Healthcare. You have to work for them or one of their affiliate companies to receive their insurance. DMBA is in downtown SLC...do you want to commute that far?? DMBA phone # is 801-578-5600... you can ask for job openings or try www.dmba.com I think you have to have a pin# to get on...I'm not sure. I hope you can find some insurance to help pay for this! Good Luck! Tash

Anyone know of employers in Utah who offer the insurance that will pay for surgery? I will change jobs if I have too. Just email me, if you have any information. Thank You! Kristen

Topic: RE: Trouble with hubby/family members
Actually my husband and I had a long talk about this. My insurance requires that I have a six month doctor assisted weight loss program which I don't have. I've absolutely got to do this so there is my just-one-more-time-last-ditch-effort diet that just might be the answer. That's what my husband thinks I need to do so that's what I'm going to do. Thanks to my insurance. He fears for and, let's face it, I fear for me. I don't want to spend the rest of my life vomiting three times a week or going in and out of hospitals with endless complications. I just want to be normal. But I'm not normal so I need to do what I need to do. Hubby's coming around a bit. Lynda D.
