To Tuck or not to Tuck?
My dear smiley friend,
Like Nat said, this is a very personal decision. As for me, I would sell my soul to do my PS right now. Not really, but I do want plastics done. I just don't know if that would ever be possible with finances the way they are. If you are happy with how you look just go for the repair. But if you like the idea of better alignment with the stars.............go for it all. I actually have 2 consults with plastic surgeons in March. One is here in town and the other is Dr Kreiger. I am going to check out at least 3. Maybe another one here in town. Now back to you. You are very hansome just how I met you in Richmond, but you need to do what makes you happy, and the little woman. PM me when you get ready to go to the hospital for what ever procedure you are having done.
Luv ya my smiley friend

OK now I am blushing......
Thanks Dimples.
Me and the little woman haven't reconnected since WLS so I'm hoping this will be a vote in that direction if it gets approved. I haven't been over this latest WOW moment with her.
I can't afford this totally out of pocket either especially with my oldest daughter desiring some corrective surgery she talked to Dr. Kreiger about at the Conference. She graduates college in May and is hoping to expecting such a procedure as a graduation gift. When I find the money tree,..I'll keep you posted.

You should definetly tuck....the thing is, can you claim any kind of back problems to get the surgery paid for under medical. Cosmetic surgery is never approved if it is for cosmetic reasons. If you have any kind of back problem and you can get your physician to write a little note about your back problems, or chiropracter to write a note, then you are home-free. Tucking is so wonderful for self esteem. Your clothes fit better, you walk taller and in intimate situations....you will feel much better about yourself. Just think medical.....hope this helps. poetrylover4u
Go for it!!!!!
TUCK!!!!
My skin is a constant reminder of the "old me". I don't think it as a vanity issue, I want to feel good about my self. My mental well being is part of my physical makeup.....I know that I will feel much better about my appearance when I can get it done.
Let us know what you decide!!
Good luck
Cathy

I haven't gotten to the stage where I can decide whether I can or should tuck or not, but, I already know that if I had enough skin to tuck (I think I do) and insurance would help pay for it...I would do it...in a heartbeat! I just don't think I can afford it if insurance doesn't help foot some of the bill...and, I am waiting till I am a little further out to see if my skin quits sagging so much after a few months at a stable weight. (I don't realistically think that it is going to just stretch back into place at all! But, I am hoping I will quit looking like a Shar-Pei doggie if I exercise enough!
GOOD LUCK!
Thanks for all of the quality input guys.
I am surprised at the amount of support for this follow-on. It really seems to be more an issue of if we can afford it and if insurance provides any relief than if this is a wise or useful option to consider. Maybe I'm not vain or nutty to "go for it".
Thanks again eveyone.
