Ok guys I need your advice
This maybe TMO but I had stopped paying attention to my fluid intake until this week and today I totaled it I have had 96 fluid oz of liguids and to the bathroom 4 times, my DR cut my lasixs back sometime ago from 20mg to 10mg so now I wondering whats up? I to stepped on the scales w/ 5 pounds added and they have to go :( I find myself hungry alot and always sticking and picking up something and putting it in my mouth. Im get about 50-60 grams of protein a day I dont get it. Any suggestions?

You have really answered your own question here .
You write that you are grazing . This would need to stop as you know . This is not condusive to weightloss .
If you are truly hungry all the time .. perhaps it is head hunger . The way you can tell is ... when you get hungry .. or think you are .. walk away for 10 minutes . If it is head hunger it should go away . While you are walking away . Grab a water bottle and start sipping .
Do you know abou****er loading ? You are far enough out now that you can do this . What this means is before you eat your meal , about 30 min prior. Start drinking fluids . This will fill you up . Then try to go eat . Wait after you eat .. about 45 min and start drinking again . This should leave you fuller . But make sure you stop drinking about 30 to 45 minutes prior . Make sure you do get atleast 3 ounces of your protein from food when you do your meals .
You may need to do a behavior modification . Some things you can do are start a journal of what and when you are eating . What makes you eat .. are there things going on around you that food helps to soothe . Once you identify this , perhaps you can get a hold of your grazing .

It sounds like you may need to re-evaluate your food choices and perhaps the size of your meals. Then you may want to up your protein more . And keep the water up . Atleast 90 ounces .
And the most important to me is exercise . You must burn calories to loose weight . Even if you cannot do cardio .. or weight train. Get out and walk . Or go get an exercise band and use it . They are awesome . I take these to my wheel chair bound patients I help and they love them . This gets their arms moving and lower torso .
Set a goal .. something simple .. like getting off the first 5 pounds , conquer that then move on to 5 more .
You can do this .. it is going to take determination and drive . All of us have the tool .. sometimes we just need to go back to basics .
I have some handouts from the Expo .. and handouts I use in my support training . I would be more than happy to share it with you . Just let me know.

Thanks for sharing your information and it is appreciated, I do have one of the exercise bands and I do use it. As well as I have gotten my bike fixed and plan on getting back on that no matter if it kills me but I too need to contact the pcp about this fluid pill and get back to that as well. Also I would like the handouts you spoke of from the expo if you dont mind Thanks for offering.

Hey girl!!! Sounds like your fluids are up & good. Tink has a point with the grazing. It isn't a good thing for us. Could it be wedding stress related? Are you drinking with your meals? That is another thing that would throw you off. I would call your nut and get some nutrition advice for your stage, see if you are getting in enough protein. And exercise is key. You can conquer this. Take the steps & research, get on a plan & schedule & go to it. :)

I know the feeling of wanting to graze! It is hard for me to go through my kitchen with out at least looking into the cabinets or refridge for something to nibble on. I bought some better snacks to help me. I have been munching on peanuts, cheese wedges, raisins, jerky strips, sf popsicles. I am addicted to the diet soda flavored ones. Root beer, orange crush and dr. pepper flavored ones! I also bought at Costco a case of diet snapple iced tea. They are really yummy! I will also freeze my flavored water drinks until they are kinda slushy and then I crunch, slurp away. It keeps my head happy while I get my H2O in.
I know you are stressed with all that is going on in your life right now... but you can do it... we can help!!!!

Cathy morning kiddo thanks for your positive thoughts and prayers I know your always there no matter what. And its always nice to know I have someone on the other side cheering for me. It is hard and I keep praying it will get better. I know it will soon.
