My feet hurt
Someone please tell me that after surgery my feet won't hurt. We just spent the week at Disney and I'm surprised I survived. My feet hurt soooo bad from carrying this "extra person" around. I struggled with the pain, but was a trooper for my kids. I NEVER want to do this again at the size I am currently. This is definitely a benefit I'm hoping to receive from the surgery.
Any encouraging thoughts? Thanks, Penny
Awww Penny. Sorry that you were in so much pain while at a place you should have been so care free and able to have loads of fun! I too, pray, and beg, that alot of my pains are gone after surgery. I have recently started suffering the pains in my feet from the neuropathy from my diabetes and the burning is sometimes almost unbearable. And now, more frequently then not, my hips hurt when I lay. I suppose the extra weight is literally weighing down on them. I definitely hope we find the answers and solutions we are looking for. Good luck on your surgery, which is just 2 days before mine, lol.
Hugs, Theresa
OH MY!!! Can I remember the pain in my feet, legs, ankles and hips after a long day (or even a short day) of walking on concrete. But I am here to tell you that (for me) the leg and associated pain will go away after the weight loss. As a matter of fact....I think that I could walk in high heels all over Disney and my feet and legs would not hurt!
But seriously, I feel certain that you will feel a difference.
Hope you had a great time at Disney!
Cath

Penny,
I can promise you that losing all that weight does make a tremendous difference to your ability to walk a lot futher around Disney!!! I can walk so much further now than i could pre-op - now I would not go so far as to say that I can walk all day in high heels lol!! But I can walk much firther and faster than ever before........ now my husband has a hard time keeping up with me......

Oh Yeah-- you will find yourself walking for hours and all of a sudden realize it and cry as I did (maybe). It gives real meaning to the phrase "getting your life back."

Yep it does go away, at least it did for me. I too suffered from foot pain, especially with my heals. Now the only time I get foot pain is if I really really do some walking but it is just an achy feeling not the sharp horrible pain it used to be. Things to get better Penny. Hang in there your day is coming.
