Just came home

I'm home. ..sipping some water for now, getting ready to take a nap. Everything was pretty uneventful. One of the night nurses came over about 5 mins before they took me back for surgery to let me know she had this about a year ago and she did fine and lost 100 pounds. That was awesome to hear at that time. I'm very sore, but that's about it except for a little congestion. I'll admit I'm having second thoughts since day 2. Even though every thing is okay, I just keep saying what have I done to myself. I guess it's just nerves. I'm afraid I'm going to do something wrong. Please pray for my hubby, he is really sick. Thanks for all your well wishes, will post more when I'm alert. Penny

Glad to hear you are home & doing well.  Take some tylenol or diabetic cold medicine for that congestion.  You don't want to get really sick & cough with that sore abdomen.  Tell hubby not to breathe on you, lol.

Welcome Home Penny!  Take is easy and follow your doc's instructions.  I think the feelings of "what did I do to myself" are normal.  Just take each day at a time, one foot in front of the other and put it all in God's hands.  He will see you through.  I will keep you in my prayers and also hope your hubby feels better soon.  He can't get sick now, you need him to care for you!  Get some rest!  Susan  :)

Penny, Welcome home!  You will do fine.  I had a case of the "what have I done" syndrome, too.  Mine was at 2-4 days post op.  I was in a lot of pain and scared.  It didn't take long to get over that.  Once you start dropping the pounds those feelings will fade.  Just remember...walk, sip and vitimians for now and as the days go on add more exercise and you will do fine.  Congratulations! Welcome home Penny, I know exactly how you feel for the first few days I thought the same way but then it went away and I can't thank people enough for encouraging me. You will do great. Just follow the drs. orders and you'll be on your way to losing weight and a healthier young lady. I will be praying for you and your husband for a quick recovery.

Hi penny! I am glad you are doing well! I talked to a bunch of staff tell me before I went back that they had it. It was really neat.  It's not like you would ever know they had it.  Don't worry. everyone has the "what the heck did i do this to myself for" moments. I know i certainly did. I am only 3 weeks out and I had small complications, and I still say it will be worth it =) I am thinking about your hubby. I hope he is well soon.
