OT: Fun event this weekend...

Me & my civil war unit will be participating in the reenactment at New Market this weekend.  There will be two battles...one on Saturday, one on Sunday.  My unit no longer "camps out" in tents...we have horses & horse trailers with living quarters...so why would I want to sleep on the ground? LOL  If any of you think you might like to attend the event & wish to hook up with me,  please PM & I will give you directions on how to find me.  Hope you can make it...I'd love to see you!!         

My boys would both love to go to the reenactment... My 4th grader is learning about civil war in school. He just had a field trip to New Market battlefield a couple of weeks ago. He brought back the information on the reenactment because he wanted to go, but it looks like we will be out of town. Sounds like a fun weekend planned for you. I hope it does not rain too hard. Too bad you can't bring him...he'd of had first-hand ability to meet with cavalry reenactors.  My unit is very spectator friendly.  I probably will post some photos.  I'll also list upcoming events in the area. Have a good weekend.

Good am Ann, We've been SEVERAL times to this battle and its been pretty spiffy. Hope ya'll have a great time! We've got lots going on this weekend so won't be able to make it!

I wish I did not already have plans for the weekend as I would LOVE to come out.  I love stuff like this.
