How long after your surgery before you could take your meds without crushing them?

I never crushed 'em. Was able to take pills by Day 3 with no problems! Lizanne

I didn't crush mine either.  I took them from day 1 in the hospital.  Didn't bother me. Susan

I was given pills in the hospital that weren't crushed, only cut in half.

fred never had to crush my meds at all. they sent me home with liquid meds, did not get them filled, however. never needed anything much for pain.  hugs, cougar to be

I must be an oddity. I waited three weeks and crushed them mostly because I was afraid to swallow whole pills.

I couldn't take whole pills until about 4 months out.  Now, it's no problem.

I've never had to crush mine either.  Took some in the hospital.
