Isn't that an awesome thing about this board.... you can so quickly get responses to your struggles... and if nobody has an answer or suggestion.... there is so much support. We definitely aren't Robinson Crusoe... but in some ways we are still pioneers and it helps to depend on each other as we progress. I hope your days are getting better soon!

Thanks for posting this.  I've been noticing the same thing about people being afraid to post the negative, and it bothered me too.  I was going to post something similar to what you did, but now I don't have to!  I do hope that people won't be afraid to share all of their journey.  People who are considering surgery need to know.  Plus...that's what we are all here for.  It's fun to share in the victories, but this board is about more than that.  We are also here to be encouraging and sympathetic when someone isn't doing well.  We can handle it.   Susan

I couldn't agree more!  I would be absolutely upset if I had my surgery only to experience a common traumatic problem that nobody talked about here.  We need to hear the bad stuff too, to make our decision.  Use your experiences, good and bad, to educate others, and at least some good will come out of it!  Thanks!

I have always found everyone on the board to be perfectly honest. Never have I thought anyone to be dishonest.  There are always plenty of posts from people with problems or concerns, and always others to offer helpful advice and share similar experiences. I never noticed there was a perception to only post the good stuff. I wonder where you got that impression? It never occurred to me. And 'IF' for example a person is not telling the whole story as you wish them to, isnt that that persons prerogative? There are no rules here for individuals to tell every detail of their experiences. Withholding some personal information to ourselves, if we choose to do so, should not be seen as dishonesty.

You misunderstood my intentions.  I wasn't calling anyone "dishonest", that is an assumption. My basic point is to encourage people who are afraid to post and ask the difficult questions.
