I am so proud of you. I went for a small walk also, just about the same distance. With my dog Willie. I don't walk far because of my knees and my heart likes to go into V-Tach. But it went good. Keep it up, they tell me every step is good for us, Tomarrow go few steps further, if you are not sore from today.

awesome, lisa!
my DD just signed me up on her membership, so i get to do the gym thing when i move up to portland next month too!! i'm terrified...
i was good and walked 2 x today with the doggies. 1 mile in the am and 2 miles at the beach this afternoon. it is hard going on my knees, which is weird, since they didn't hurt when i had 30 more pounds on them. maybe the bones are all loose now without all that packed-tight fat around them!
and way to go on that weight loss! 49 lbs already!! wow!
cin

LOL i guess those bones liked the fat cusion or something...but then again, when u had that weight on, u didnt go walking so those knees didnt have to worry any....sounds logical lol
I know my knees are popping more now bc im walking more...they didnt used to do that... 49 lbs ago....bc i sat most of the time..
oh u will love going to the gym....have fun with it and u will feel so much better.. !
no, actually i always walked a lot. i did the 2 mile stretch of my beach 2-3 x a week, and i always do the 1 mile morning and afternoon walk with the pups. (except for right after the surgery for a while)
that is why it is weird to me that the knees would be acting up. mayeb it's hormonal (let's blame it o nthe hormones, they are a good scapegoat!)
