I spoke with Jerry earlier this evening and he had gotten the preliminary autopsy reports back indicating the probable cause of Alison's death to be a blood clot.
Jerry also asked me to post the following link. It has information about Alison's funeral arrangments, the families' wishes, as well as a link to light a candle and sign her virtual guest book. I encourage you to do so. Here is the link:

I am speechless. I knew someone had passed, but I did not know it was Alison. I had just been talking to her. We are from the same home town and graduated from the same high school 3 years apart. Her funeral will be in the town we grew up in and I still live near. I am stunned and saddened. God bless her family.
From what I understand you can get a blood clot at anytime in your life. It can come from sitting too long in one spot such as long trips in a vehicle:
Blood clots to the lungs, called pulmonary emboli, occur less than 1% of the time. They are the most common cause of death after bariatric surgery. Blood clots can usually be prevented with blood thinning medicines and frequent activity.
