I had surgery in PV with Dr. Joya in Aug 2008 and it cost me 10000 dollars including airfare and accomidations. The staff and Dr.s were wonderful and I felt as if I had a holiday, except for the scars LOL

I had Dr Alvarez and it was 10,000 dollars. You could save that 7,000 for PS if you need it down the road.

$9500 including all but the airfare to San Diego (and your 'last supper' at the hotel).  A driver picks you up at the airport and brings you back again in 4 days.

I had mine done in Tijuana about 3 months ago and mine was $8600 with everything included except airfare to San Diego.
I had an excellent, experienced and skilled surgeon who had done over 200 sleeves. I much more attentive care from surgeon and hospital staff than I ever would have in the U.S.
I have had 0 complications post op and could have lost about 60 lbs in 12 weeks even though I have not yet started exercising which I know I need to do.
I was able to set up my own aftercare program incluing being followed by my PCP, a nutritionist and a  weekly support group run by a PhD, exercise physiologist and and nutritionist and all I pay is my co-pay for PCP.
I know MX is not for everyone but it worked for me.
I stole this quote from another poster "You can argue with me but you cannot argue with my results".
Whatever you do is it truthful, necessary and kind?

There is a Dr. Pleatman in the Detroit area who charges under 12K for self pay.  There are folks on the board who have used him and were happy with him.  Even tho I'm only 3 hours drive from him, I'm still choosing Alvarez - in my research, I feel he is more experienced.
