We have a smoothie place about 1/2 mile from where I live that will make SF id you ask and they offer protein shakes as well.  Are these OK  I know the first 10 days will be clear liquids but once you get to ful liquids can you have these?  The reason I ask is they are huge for $6 I could probly drink on 1 for a say one I get my surgery, maybe more!

Most of those smoothie places will have an information sheet you can look at that has the nutritional value of their smoothies.  I have found most of them are full of sugar and have too many carbs for me.  Look at the serving size for the nutritional value and go from there.  Could be 1/2 or 1/3 of the smoothie would work into your food plan, then you would have 2nd and 3rds for later.  Good luck....you should be able to find something that works for you!

At times for lunch I will go to Smoothie King they have a high protein low calorie smoothie I think they call it a Gladiator. Meets my criteria.......they should be in your area also. I think they are all over the state.

Wehave Smoothie King in town but the one close is a "Smoothie Rox"  they have any type of fruit you can imagine from Kiwi (makes my throat itch LOL), Avacodo (sounds yuck) canalope, watermelon... Basically any friut.  I am asking which ones are fresh this coming week as i do not want packaged fruit since it typically has added sugar.  They will make them with splenda in stead of sugar added on request.

Read the chart inside of the store --- Many, most of the smoothies are VERY high in sugar, calories, and/or carbs.  Purchase a magic bullet at sams club and make you own smothies adding whey or purchase Pro Cal 100 shakes.  Good luck and welcome to the new you.

Most of them have an online menu and nutritional information, so that you can browse it for as long as you want before you go in.  I don't know about the Smoothie Rox place, but the fruit is usually frozen, so you don't have to worry about it being fresh.

I'm a HUGE fan of Smoothie King...if you have one within a feasible driving distance, I highly recommend it.  I also get the Gladiator...1 carb and 45g of protein.  I always add fruit though to make it taste better (passion fruit and pineapple...YUM!).  The low carb ones are fantastic without adding fruit too...they've only got like 6g of carbs and 39g of protein.

Jamba Juice.....  Best place ever.

Smoothie places usually make their smoothies with a lot of ice and a little fruit and if you have it made with Splenda it will make a nice treat especially when you are on the liquid diet. Yes, Jamba Juice is the best but they aren't always availiable. You also probably won't be able to drink the whole thing.
