Results from the upper GI
I wanted to put up an update for those keeping track of what's going on with me.
I had an upper GI done this morning, and I was hoping that they'd find something, and maybe even fix it. When I woke up, they told me that they found absolutely nothing.
They're sending off a biopsy to see if I have an H. Pylori infection, but the chances of that are small. I'm too sedated right now to care about any of this, but once it wears off, I might start freaking out, cause my mind is already trying to go negative on me. Please keep sending positive thoughts. I need all the help I can get right now.
Till we speak again,
Deanna

Well thankfully it isn't anything horrible...but it is frustrating for them to not have an answer for you. Been there before..I know how that feels.
I am wondering..... I have the same problems you do.....in fact I vomit or spit up at least 5x/week...I just got used to it...and I used to be bulimic and so vomiting really does not bother me that much. I hate feeling nauseated though....ugh. Reglan does help me..but maybe you just need to find the right combination for you...I think acid causes a lot of this....I ALSO think that Dr. Alvarez makes our tummies especially small...I STILL cannot eat much at a time. 1/4 cup and that is it. Certain things nauseate me and I have not found a particular pattern yet....so I try to take my reglan before I eat. That does help me.
We had another girl here months ago that had this problem too pretty severe....she was nauseated constantly....never any relief...she FINALLY got some answers but not sure what she ended up doing. A GI doctor finally helped her and she also got some counseling to help ease her nerves a bit since this is a very stressful situation. Her name was angel something? Wish I could remember her username...I bet she could give you some good insight. Let me think for a while on her name....
Keep up hope girl.....thinking of you here!

WooHootiHoo! I have made it to 109!!!! A total of 190lbs lost!
Yeah, I have her profile bookmarked, and I sent her an email last night. She got answers from her upper GI, and I was hoping that I'd be the same. :( The thing that scares me is that if they can't find an answer, this could be permanent. That's my biggest fear. With that in mind, I'm actually quite upset that they couldn't find anything. Taking Reglan scares me a bit cause it adds to depression and anxiety for some (it did for that girl, Melissa), and I already have issues with that. I have some zofran, but I hope I can get off it soon cause of the price.
Thanks for all your supprt,
