OK today my instructions said three meals a day and gave me all the rules. I was so nervous that I drank protein and ate soup again. Today is two weeks and one day - what should I start with? I'm doing so good that I am scared. Tina

How about refried beans w/ cheese and sour cream? :)

You'll be fine -- just eat slooooooowly! :)

This isn't a race... if you feel uncomfortable trying soft foods yet, then wait. All you're doing is erring on the side of playing it safe....

I started with yogurt because it's practically a liquid, then I blended up a whole can of soup and measured out a cup (still quite liquid but with more substance)... did this for practically another week.

Hey Tina - It was nice to meet you today.  I looks like you lost a little more than you thought.  I did too, I lost 16 pounds (probably a little more but I'm going to keep it at that).

When I spoke to Holly today she said there was nothing that I couldn't eat, except of course steak and pork.  She said that there was nothing I could hurt by eating as long as I chewed well and didn't over due it.  I baked some fish and cooked green beans for supper.  I sure was nice to chew again.

I hope to meet you again.  Keep up the good work.

Try baby food- it's really small portioned and easy to digest.

I am four weeks out and have been able to have mushies.  Guess what I've been having?  Protein shakes.  I know what it's like to be terrified of trying something new, however I think it's also necessary that we incorporate new foods into our diets.
