Do you remember the breathing tube? I think my Dr said that most people don't remember it?
I remember waking up with a shock to see my anesthesiologist's face and my first thought was, "Oh my God, they've done it!" I was not 100% happy about that either. I think it will take me a long time to accept the fact that I've done this. Once I get thinner, I think I will be able to accept that it was a good decision.
I think I felt him take the tube out and that's when I woke up, but I can't be sure. It was very hazy. But I don't remember being traumatized by anything except the realization that it was done!

No. They try to do things so that you don't. For one thing, you're very deep "asleep" during the surgery. They let you come up a bit, so you can attampt to breathe on your own. Then they remove the tube and start yelling at you whilst you're finishing coming out of anesthesia. Some of the anesthesias they use now, or drugs that they mix with the anesthesic agents cause you to not remember.
I remember a bit of a struggle to wake up. I may have been struggling with a doctor or nurse, I don't know. I was in recovery for a couple of hours; I don't remember any of that, although I was obviously not anesthetized at that point.
Most people don't remember it at all.
