What meat has the most protein per ounce?

I need something that really packs a punch protein-wise so I can have it ready to go in my fridge ready to go for meals.

I am getting so sick of protein shakes, but it seems to  be the best way to get my protein at this point.

And the winner is...venison...at least according to the chart at the following link:

However, deer meat may not sound very appetizing to you, so take a look at the chart and see what does. :)

Haha no I think I'll pass on the venison.  I have never really likes the taste of game meat.

Thanks for the chart, though!

Hope this helps!  P.S. I have found low-sodium deli meat sliced as thinly as they can slice it goes down REALLY easy, i just bought 1/2 lb roast beef, 1/2 lb ham, and 1/2 lb turkey breast all low-sodium versions, taste terrific and every 2 oz is approx. 14g protein, and they go down smooth and easy when sliced really thin.

The buiffalo burgers at Trader joes have 43grams per patty. If you season it with a nice steak seasoning it can pass for hambuger everytime. At least does for me.

Buffalo is not only good copy cat for beef, it's so packed with lean protein, it's just wonderful for us. It is delicious, and it's also very low fat. A perfect food for we protein eaters now. Ostrich is also very high in protein and very low fat.

Beans are very protein packed also. the darker the bean, the higher the protein count. I keep bean salads, made up this time of year as hubby loves t hem as well, and I keep bean soups made up in winter months. Nothing beats it hands down if your a veggie lover and I am. I miss veggies terribly. the bite or two here or there is not enough. I take a day once in awhile where I just eat veggies mixed with a little protein to get them in.
