18 days out and not losing
I'm 18 days post surgery and haven't dropped a pound since Wed. (it's Saturday today). I've lost 15 pounds post surgery (7 before) so that's good, but I'm getting frustrated and concerned. It's good to be back in the 250's after visiting the 60's and 70's, but I'd like to see the 240's and was sure I would see them by today. Instead, I'm actually up a pound since Wed. ! I'm not eating even close to enough calories to gain weight and I've been walking all over the place. What the heck is going on???? I'm trying to get my protein in and I've been pretty good on my water intake. I'm even getting enough sleep. Is there something I'm overlooking? I don't think I've lost enough to hit a plateau. Any suggestions? Did you guys go through this, too???
Also, I got a call from my surgeon saying I'd missed my follow-up appt. Total stresser to me since I'd had it written down on the 12th, not the 5th. Well, when I got home, I looked at my post-op directions and my appt is written down for the 12th. I feel better about that, now, since it was a clerical error and not an error on my part. I hate missing things or being late. So, now I feel better about that! :)
Anyway, I'd appreciate any help you can give me~!

Hiya Bonnie :)
My name is Misty, and I am waiting for my surgery date...should be by end of month! So I haven't had it yet, however, you are doing great! everyone loses weight differently. You might not lose much and then all of a sudden lose a bunch. Make sure you are getting that protein in! If you don't, your body will go into "starvation" mode and you can stall and/or gain weight. my advice is to drink water and protein and you will lose :)

Sounds like you hit the famous 3-week stall a few days early. I'm only at 2-weeks, but I know I've read about this stall period. Others will certainly reply to you with good ideas.
Meanwhile, don't fret! You are truly doing AMAZING!
And, yes...everyone does lose at different rates!
Hang in there!
Great job!!!
