I agree best to try and get a mini walk in. Even if you walk to your local store and buy a bottle of water at least you are geetting about. I lost about 15lbs in my first 2 weeks

besides walking, get a nintendo brain age II which has all sorts of interesting brain work outs. starts easy, gets harder, very fun. also, play internet scrabble. good for brain.   www.isc.ro

The first night home, I dreamed I ate 3 fistfulls of popcorn and tore my pouch.

The 2nd night, I dreamed about eating something else, though I can't recall it.

I think food is a lingering thing in the subconscious,

On day six out of surgery, I actually ate about 2 fistfulls of popcorn and I felt fine.  I chewed it very well so I thought it was ok.  That is the trouble.  I can eat a lot of ANYTHING and I feel fine.

wow, i'm on liquids for two weeks, then soft foods. Not risking popcorn! In fact, I think I dreamed that food specifically because they told me to avoid popcorn altogether in the future.

Ooh, I was not told to avoid any foods at all, not permanently anyway.  I was told to introduce foods slowly and if not tolerated, then wait a week to try again.  SO far I tolerate everything waaaay too well.  Actually, we were told to avoid junk foods and foods high in sugar.  That is a no-brainer of course.

Both my hubby and I had the surgery the same day (one month ago) and he doesn't EVER think about food and I feel hungry (at least I think it feel hungry - they talk about head hunger on here) almost all the time.  I have lost about 12 pounds (all in the first 10 days) but they also talk about stalls being common in the first few weeks after the initial weight loss.
