I've been swallowing Citracal "Petities" with no problem since day 10 post surgery.  They're about 40% smaller and shaped in such a way that they shouldn't get stuck.

I have been taking Caltrate Calcium & Vitamin D 600 chewables. Got them at Walmart, Greg picked them out. I chew 2 at bedtime, they're not too bad.

Caltrate is calcium carbonate - beware of kidney stones and potentially decreased absorption.

my surgeon said i could just use good old tums and chew them. 6 per day. better than nuthin. d

citracal makes petites, they are smaller and easier to swallow
