I never thought THIS could happen

VSG on 09/20/12
So yesterday was my surgery... I went in, they put me to sleep, I woke up in serious pain. I did it though!! I went through with it all only to find out my surgeon couldn't do the surgery.( When he came to tell me why I was so shocked and upset. Apparently my insides are pretty much jumbled and my stomach is in an area he can't really see. My pancreas and liver are in the wrong place but also stuck between a layer of tissue. He could not move them out of the way. I'm so sad and confused on top of it all I have pain from what they tried to attempt. I was a self pay and feel I might have lost out on 15000$ due to thus being a "complication". My surgeon said out of 6000 surgeries he's done he's never seen this before. I can get a ct scan to see if this is fixable, meaning another surgery!! Or it might have just been congenital, either way looks like I can't have a VSG. There went my savings I'm so hurt I dunno what else
to say. But this is just something to think about if you're pre- op as I didn't think this would happen.

I am so so so so so so sorry.  I cant believe no one has ever found this before though.  Again, I am so sorry.  Take some time to heal and take care of yourself.

I am SO sorry to hear this! I am waiting for my date now! That's a very scary thing to hear. I hope and pray that the doctors can figure something out and it all works out. I'm sure nothing anyone says seems to help, but know that you're in the thoughts and prayers of others.

I'm also sorry this had to happen to you!  Did he only try laproscopically or did he open you and try it as well? Especially since it's self-pay he hopefully did everything he could to succeed!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you for a quick and not much more expensive resolution to your issues!

Try to remain positive and visualize and believe in the outcome you desire, rather than focus on the negatives at this point, ok?  I know... that's easy for me to say... but don't feed your fears - feed your dreams!

Oh sweetheart I'm so so sorry!!!  I can't even imagine how frustrated and even scared you might be feeling right now.  Hang in there.  I am a firm believer in things happening for a reason and while right now you can't understand or see a reason for it, something good will come out of this.

Lots of healing vibes are headed your way, sweetie!!!
