So you are having surgery in LA Thats cool not a lot of Dr in America doing the sleeve your lucky I went to Mexico to get mine I'm very happy you will be just fine you are at home not 1200 miles away in a foreign country by yourself just know this is the first step to a knew life . I feel really blessed at the moment. I was basically on hold for months, after being approved for an RNY, because my insurance still called the sleeve "experimental". They finally reversed that position at the beginning of this month. There are a flood of people behind me that were also just hangin' out, waiting for the insurance co. to come to their senses. This surgery is much better than an RNY, AND safer, AND even cheaper for them to provide. It just seemed so senseless the whole time I was waiting.

@Goodlife > I work at St Tammany, and that's where I'm getting it done. Are you having yours done by one of Dr. Lavin's group?
Just noticed your Dr. was listed. I checked out the program at Fairway...but my insurance states that I have to give first priority to St. Tammany.
