Just saying HI...HI!

I'm having a gastric sleeve done on Monday and I'm both thrilled and a little antsy.  Can anybody relate??

Hi!

Oh yeah I can relate!!

For me.. once I got to Mexicali.. where I had my surgery... everything happened so fast.. I didn't have a chance to be nervous anymore!

Good luck and welcome!

OK...so I figured out how to get the ticker working...just use an easier one...LOL

Thanks everyone for the welcome.  I've actually come to this site quite a bit in the last few months and got inspiration from the posts here and I'll admit...just looking at all the "before & afters" is quite reassuring

Yes...
I feel really blessed at the moment.  I was basically on hold for months, after being approved for an RNY, because my insurance still called the sleeve "experimental".  They finally reversed that position at the beginning of this month.  There are a flood of people behind me that were also just hangin' out, waiting for the insurance co. to come to their senses.  This surgery is much better than an RNY, AND safer, AND even cheaper for them to provide.  It just seemed so senseless the whole time I was waiting.

Kelley and Vinny I see y'all had the Mexican experience.  I was often tempted...how did y'all feel about the experience?

@Goodlife > I work at St Tammany, and that's where I'm getting it done.  Are you having yours done by one of Dr. Lavin's group?

Just noticed your Dr. was listed.  I checked out the program at Fairway...but my insurance states that I have to give first priority to St. Tammany.

Are you able to stand the wait??
