How in the world...

can you eat 600-700 calories a day and not lose weight?!?

Yes, I'm *****ing about my stall again. Gah I'm SO annoyed!!! I've tried eating more, eating less, exercising, not exercising, tracking my food, switching up my food, etc...the scale simply will not budge. It's been 3 weeks now which feels like an eternity considering that up to this point I've lost weight completely effortlessly without even exercising or counting anything or tracking my food. I'm starting to think that I should accept that this is where my body is comfortable, that I'll never be a normal weight and move on. But a part of me keeps the hope alive.

I know it's only 3 weeks and I'm being a drama queen, but it sucks when I'm *this* close to goal and the weight loss just abruptly stops.

OK, you do know that the less you have to lose the harder it is to lose.  Once when I did LAWeightLoss I had a 6 WEEK STALL (we called them "plateaus") and amazingly I didn't quit.  Finally, doing nothing different, just more of the same I just starting losing again.

As you said it's been effortless up 'til now.  Try switching when you eat what, i.e. if you now have a big supper and small breakfast, do it backwards.  I know you said you have switched up your food but does that mean the type of food you eat or when you eat it.  Completely change your exercise routine.

Most of all just hang in there.  You look so beautiful in the dresses you modeled yesterday.  Don't be discouraged.  Just keep doing what you know to do.

Your progress has been inspiring to me!

And let's not forget the boots. Lol. You're doing great! Keep it moving and pushing, the stall will break.

Thank you ladies!!

I know what I would tell someone with the same complaint - to be patient - but it's so much easier said than done!

I wouldn't be as frustrated if my weight loss slowed, I expect that - but it's stopped completely. Actually, I gained a half pound in the past two days (and my calories were WELL under 1,000, like um half that). I am starting strength training tonight or tomorrow so maybe that will get things moving again. In the very least it might make my arms look better.

eta: It really makes me wonder how the hell anorexics ever get so skinny.

Not sure how anorexics do it, but I believe your determination will help you prevail.  Stay the course.

I was wondering the very same thing yesterday. I'm also at a stall but I suppose it's our body's way of re-adjusting itself. Frustrating...yes but just keep at'er! It should break without you changing a thing.

Mandy,

You really have done a great job!  Your body is most likely just catching up.

However, I am not a NUT... wonder if it is time to check back in with one, and see what they say.

Don't give up!   Have fun working out!!

Thanks for all the great posts...even the *****y ones ..lol

Teresa :)

Mandy, you've done awesome. You will keep doing awesome. You are so close to goal, your body is just adjusting to the weight loss. Keep working the sleeve, and be patient...the scale will start to move down again.
