I have run out of the chewable vitamins and I was taking a liquid vitamin I picked up at GNC. The tast is horrible and I often can't take the whole bottle to work and forget to take it sometimes in the morning. my question is is there some issue with taking a regular pill type multivitamin? I usually break it in half and take the halves seperately within 30 mins of each other but I am wondering with the sleeve is it absorbed into the body the same way.

I have been using reg swallow vitamins since I ran out of the chewable samples. I have no problem. The chewables were only supposed to be for the 1st 2 weeks only. I think it's a "toleration" thing vs absorbption.

There should be no issues for you since you are several months out now.
I can swallow most sized pills now, and have been able to since about week 5 or 6.

I have been taking regular sized and horse sized pills since I was in the hospital...with just sips of water.  No problem..sometimes the really big Posture D pill takes a few sips of water to get down but it gets there.  I can take my 15 meds AM everyday in about 5 minutes..

My surgeon said I can not take just any kind of vitamin. It has to be one for people who had bariatric surgery because the ones at the store do not have all the nutrition we need. I take celebrate ones it cost me 90.00 dollars a month but worth it to me. They are in pill form.
My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

I have been taking a regular one a day for men for the past six months, surgeon and nurse approved the decision.

From my understanding the sleeve does not cause absorption issues as absorption takes place in the intestines, not the stomach.

I liked the one a days because they begin to dissolve as soon as they hit the water in your mouth, i had no worries about them getting stuck or not dissolving.

I called my NUT today about this very thing. She said to take Centrum. The regular ones. Not Silver. Not for Women. Not for Men. Just the regular ones.
