Ick... Ick... Ick... Ladies.. Help....
I have a Mirena IUD so my periods are sporadic and random (though conveniently came to accompany my surgery) but when it does I get hungry. I'm wondering if it will be different now that I've had the vsg. I've been spotting off and on since last week but I haven't felt ravenous and since I'm early out I'm not stalling in weight loss. Point of my story is I really can't relate yet, I just felt like talking about myself :P
No periods are the only thing that make going through menopause bearable. I was finished this year, at 50. The women in my family go through it s little young. Both my mom and older sister were done by 48.
Like a number of people here, I could not tolerate protein shakes and got miserably sick and nauseated on them. I have done well getting my protein through food, but it does take some planning to get enough and keep carbs down. So worth it, though.
