I'm having surgery on may 27th with Dr. Rod in juarez Mexico . I'm going through Ishie from beliteweight and she told me Dr. Rod has had over 3000 vsg surgeries and no deaths, does this sound right? If you had surgery with him could you tell me how it went. It's getting closer and closer and I'm getting kind of scared, sorry for being a baby. Thanks for any replys.

I did not have surgery with him, but my surgeon has only had one death due to surgery complications so it is entirely possible to have none.

It will be here before you know it and soon you will wonder why you ever worried.

Dr's can do about five to eight VSG surgeries day.  How many years has he done it. Multply that by 280 x5 and that will give you the number of average surgeries.

So in three years a surgeon could do around 4200 surgeries.

As far as no deaths that is not unusual for clean facility with skilled physicians.
