When I did a high protein liquid diet a couple of years ago (Optifast), they had us on about 850 calories a day. People lost weight really fast. I averaged 3.5 pounds a week. But the kicker is that your weight slows down after about 4-5 months. They found that people's weight loss at that low calorie amount can go down to a pound or less a week. However, if they put people back on regular food at around 1200 calores, the weight loss speeds up again.
I think that might be what's happening to you.
I see it here all the time. People are on 800 calories untill they lose all their weight, but their weight loss slows to about 4-5 pounds a month. I sometimes wonder what would happen if they upped their calories to 1200.
