Others?? I did use seitan and tempeh when my body didn't want to deal with meat. It was temporary.
Where do you get most of your protein and has that changed over your journey? All my protein has come from food sources sitting hitting mushy/soft foods, nothing has changed in almost 2 years.

Food: Definately scallops! Tilapia,Cheese, eggs, grilled or roasted veggies, and beef or chix as long as its not dry - Cant eat very much "dry" protein. If its too dry I even drink with my meal (i know, I know)
Premade: Costco or Isopure smoothies
Powders: Fresh fields brand
Combination of drinks and food. If I have a day where I eat alot of protein, then I drink 1 shake instead of 2. For me, too much protein and not enough carbs makes me REALLY constipated, which has its own set of issues. So I try to mix protein and carbs with my food and settle for protein shake.

I am 1 (one) week out from surgery. My diet is pureed and I am sure that my answer will change as I progress.
Food: I pureed some seasoned fi****s very tasty and a great source of protein plus easily broken down in the body. Also, greek yogurt, cottage cheese are great sources of protien. I have also pureed meatballs, I eat malt o meal for breakfast made with lactose free milk, which also has protein.
Premade Shakes: none. I tried one brand at a meeting and wasn't impressed. Doesn't mean others aren't out there but I found a couple things that I like and still enjoy.
Powders: I use Six Star vanilla cream. It has 26g protein. I mix it with 1 C lactose free milk (another 8 g protein) and slice up 1/4 frozen banana and blend. viola 34 grams of protein. I did pick up the GNC AMP protein powder this week. Its buy 1 get one 50% off this week. I tried it at a support meeting. It disolves easily in milk which is nice for on-the-go situations. Very very tasty. I got cookies and cream and I have tested their chocolate before too. 2 scoops in 8oz of milk and I have 48 g protein. Its higher in protein than Six Star which means 2 shakes is too much protein. I think its perfect when I am out and about and need something in a pinch. I just need to buy a shaker cup. HUGELY better than the premix I had tried.
I record my protein, liquid intake, vitamins and diet. I made this change to improve my health and those things are critical for me to do this healthily.

Food: seafood (esp. shrimp, scallops, salmon, tuna); meat (chicken, beef, pork, turkey, chicken sausage). I love cheese too, but for whatever reason, the weight doesn't come off as easy when I eat a lot of dairy. I also love tofu and other "meat" products, esp. Gardein brand.
Premade shakes: none
Powders: About Time (mixed with 6oz almond milk)
I stick with a protein shake for breakfast and then fill in the rest of the day with protein. I'm not a huge breakfast fan and eggs don't sit well with me. So starting the day with a shake is fast and gets the protein in.

Once I hit solid foods, I followed my dietitian's advice and added a variety of veggies, fruits, etc. to get a well-balanced diet. Wifey and I eat 85% the same foods now.
Premade Shakes/drinks: None - tried a few, hated them all.
Powders: I love Unjury products - have used it every single day since surgery for breakfast; used a lot of unflavored and chicken soup immediately post-op.
Others: almonds (15 per day, max), l/f cheese sticks, beef jerkey (golf course utility foods),
diet Lipton green tea w/ lemon; Powerade Zero
Not yet 6 mos. post-op, down 125 lbs. (Exercise EVERY SINGLE DAY!) I'm a happy 65 year-old.

Food: Any and all animal sources - beef, chicken, pork, lamb, shellfish, fish
Premade Shakes: Either Atkins or Premier Protien
Powders: Nectar Vanilla Torte or Vanilla Muscle Milk - if I want other flavors it's easy to add to the vanilla
Others: Occasional tofu or beans, Greek yogurt, nuts
Where do you get most of your protein and has that changed over your journey?
It certainly changed over the different stages - clears, full liquid, purees, mushies, regular. The first year I had a protein shake for breakfast, Greek yogurt later and ususally at least one chicken breast or other solid meat. I alway**** my protein goal of at least 70 g but it usually was/is 100 g.
