cleaner food & candida

yesterday I went to whole foods and bought some things that work well for me with my mind, and body.

I do believe that there are chemicals in food that alters my mind or gives me allergies like hives, rashes and welts.

I was sooOOOOo  addicted to sugar, sweets and candy.  I know it feeds the candida in my body. When people talk about Thrush on their tongue after surgery, it ****** me off when the doctors dont fess up and say it is part of candida.  they just give you more antibiotics which feeds candida.  sugar feeds candida,  even chlorine in our water feeds candida. ( they say to drink distilled)  They say as many years we have fed our candida we need to eat 1 month of a changed candida free diet.  Example if I ate for 15 years crap that fed candida, I need to eat a candida free diet for 15 months)

I am so into this candida thing right now.  because I am still in my honeymoon stage with my sleeve, I am putting the candida free diet on hold until I am further out. But I certainly can start eating cleaner.
The candida free diet doesnt have much nutrition value so I need to wait until my body heals more.  Maybe when I get to maintenance.  I noticed since surgery my body has changed for the better with my new eating and I am soooo grateful.

Candida starts in the gut and spreads like wildfire. It comes out in many ways like yeast infections for women,  rashes in folds ( tummy, butt, Va-JJ, skin etc)  My problem was after I had surgery 2 1/2 years ago  my tongue got Thrush,   been battling yeast infections since. So, since I had my sleeve...  all this has gotten better.....  No infections, No headaches, and my memory is more clear.

Anyhow the things I bought at wholefoods are so yummy and nutritional.  Yes in the cleaner Raw food department.   I love eating this way and it tastes good AND I so can tell a difference when it goes in my body.

I hate that good food costs so much more.  What is up with that!

You are sooooo right! I eat yogurt everyday AND take an acidophilus supplement. I stay away from processed foods. I figure that I had this surgery to get healthier and I'm taking that very seriously! Thanks for posting!

Amen!!!

Yay for acidophilus too  and I also take Bifidus. I bought them in the refrigerated section at whole foods and keep them in the frig.  I just got cleared at 3 months to take them.

good job sleeve sister!

and don't forget sugar and white carbs feed the yeast ......so the "sleeve diet" should help!
DrHollywood
on 5/15/11 10:27 am - Harbor City, CA
the sleeve diet may help as far as quantity, but not with the candida. it depends what we eat.
however your right as to it helps. I do notice a difference compare to before when I use to stuff my face with everything.  but I know i still have it, and do see many improvements.

I would love to hear what you are using to get rid o the yeast.  I believe that is my problem as I have been really craving sugars and white crap.  I take food enzymes and  probiotics but is there something else I should be taking?

DrHollywood

pills alone wont get rid of it.   google candida diet....   start eating more of the foods now....
but purely going on the candida free diet is not very nutritional especially for our sleeve.
That is why I am going to wait until I am further out or at goal or close to goal to do it.
So, I am starting to eat cleaner foods now and I love it.

I just know in the mind is much better, and it has to help with the candida but not in its entirety.

just google candida diet foods to eat and foods not to eat.

Have you ever heard about DE? Diatommacous Earth food grade?  I know that I didn't spell it right.  To help with candida.  I have had this problem for a while now and everytime I get an antibiotic  I get horrible thrush and it takes months to resolve.  I am battleing it now from the antibiotics that I got when I was sleeved 2 months ago.  I am hesitant to take it (the DE) because of the recent sleeve but google it.  It's kind of interesting.  Candida is such a pain in the mouth!  Thank you for your posts.
