Insurance approved my surgery!

Oh my - they got back to me so fast - only took a week to get approved!  Now just waiting to get my pre-op appointment and actually schedule for my surgery!  I can't wait!  How long does it normally take to get from pre-op to surgery? a few weeks? months?  I have ordered samples of the unjury product and I am going to pick up some isopure to try to see what I like best.  Any tips for a full days food menu would be greatly appreciated!

Have you had your pre opp appts yet - for example I had to do a sleep study,a 1 time visit to a psychiatrist, upper GI, and lab work.....plus I had to have 6 proven months of nutrition.....(I had done weigh****chers).  Once I had that finished - my surgeon called me on the 12th of January to let me know that my surgery would be on the 31st.
I am so happy for you (us) - best thing I have ever done for me!!

Congratulations!!!!  I have everything done just waiting on the team meeting and then to see if my insurance wants more of anything.  I have no tips because I'm not there yet.  But very excited for you.

Congratulations on your approval. That is fantastic. Don't worry, things will zip along and you will have your new tiny tummy in no time.

what insurance company do you have? I submitted my paperwork last thursday and I'm hoping I get approval in a week too! My doctor said once I get approval I can have surgery in 1-2 weeks but he also doesn't require a pre-op diet so guess it depends....good luck!!

i have aetna insurance.  I wasn't even expecting to hear back so soon  (about 2 weeks after submitted)  I have done all my prep work of 3 months of nutrition/exercise classes, i was approved by the surgery board and had my bloodwork and physical.  I guess I will just wait for my doctor to call for pre-op appointment - hopefully it won't be long now!

you said it took one week to get approved and than  you said it took 2 weeks so I'm confused. I submitted my paperwork for everything thursday so am I crazy to hope it'd be back for approval by this friday or should I be banking on the following week ( I have Aetna too)?
