The pictures you guys have been posting to the boards of what all you've been cooking look delicious, so I decided to join in.

Today for lunch I had 3oz. of baked salmon with a glaze I constructed of teriyaki/mustard/horseradish/garlic, and 1oz. fresh bocconcini mozzarella.

Mmmmm!

Thought I'd mention also that I'm on the soft/blenderized food stage, so I've been preparing and eating things that I can chew to hell in my mouth before swallowing. Everything that I've cooked so far I've chewed to pudding consistency before allowing it down the hatch... but just because I have to swallow it that way doesn't mean I'm putting it onto my plate that way!

That looks delish and the glaze sounds great. I love all types of fish and always looking for new ways to prepare them. I am 2 weeks out of my sleeve today and see the surgeon on Friday. I should start the "pudding consistency" foods then. I can't wait, but also a little nervous.

Yeah, it took me a little while, but I did. I watched the clock and put my fork down between every bite and chewed to no end to get the consistency prescribed by my surgeon. But I am having a really hard time tolerating the protein shakes, and I need to get it in somehow.

I find that soft stuff like this doesn't give me any trouble. Egg salad was harder for me to eat than this very soft baked fish, and to compare, I couldn't eat as much baked tilapia as I could of salmon... I think maybe the higher fat content made it softer and easier for me to tolerate.

The total was 4oz by weight, and the fish smooshed went up 3/4 of the way in a 1/2 Cup measuring cup. The cheese took me longer and I just snacked on it slowly.

All in all, it was great and satisfied a lot of my protein needs for the afternoon.
