Checking in with the May Sleevers
How is everyone doing today?
The weather is hot and humid here lately in NY, and I'd rather be in my apartment in the air conditioning sitting around on my big butt, but yesterday I took a killer walk all over town with a friend from work and her dog. The night before I hit the gym before it closed and did laps for the first time in AGES at their pool... felt great, my heartrate was up and I knew I was getting in some really good cardio, even if it was just for a half hour. I have another walk, though a lot lower impact, scheduled with another friend for this evening. Hopefully it'll be a bit cooler by then.
Drinking my water in this heat has NOT been a problem for me. And I struggled with poor food choices during the holiday weekend but have since picked myself back up and am back on the road to a healthier and smarter lifestyle, the way I know I should be doing it and the way I WANT to be doing it.

How are you all doing?
Eh, not too bad
Pros:
I can drink great now and get all my liquids in
I can eat almost anything but I stick to my proteins
No pain ever
No heartburn
went to 3 parks this weekend walked like crazy and felt great
I feel thinner (clothes getting larger)
Cons:
Not sure when this stall will end
I'm down 6lbs since surgery 21 days
I was down 9 but weighed this morning UP 3 since the weekend gRR
I was hoping to lose a lot over the weekend
Possibly getting ready for the monthly (water retention) yay
More pros then cons so I guess I am wonderful

Im doing okay. basically the same as sldrswife lol. more pros than cons. My scale stopped moving last week so I hid it away and will be weighing in tomorrow (3 week weigh in). Not sure if the scale will move. Clothes are smaller and I have definitely lost inches. (21.5 total). My total weight down since surgery is 16. Add in the 5 lost during pre op and thats 21 in about a month. So I cant complain lol.
I am still having difficulty getting all my water in. Protein I have gotten better at getting in since I started on soft foods. Sometimes I have acid issues and some pain but I think I figured out my tummy can only do about 2 oz at a time and I was trying to do 3 oz, so that was causing me to feel a little too full. I seem to be doing better now though. Just getting in the water is aggrivating at this point.
I started working out but am still getting a bit tired over all during the day, not just from exercising.

So far it's been ok but a little emotional and not myself. I think maybe some hormones at work. I have stalled but I'm trying to stay positive and remind myself I'm doing the right things and I have been going to the gym for the last 2 weeks at least 2-3 times a week! I have been getting my protein and water in most days but it's still hard. I keep reading all of these wonderful surgiversary posts of people 6 months and a year out and I'm impatient when I see how good they are doing I want to be in their shoes so I just keep pushing myself to get out and put some work in so I can be there too. Gotta stay positive!!! Gotta stop beating myself up when the scale doesn't move! Just keep swimming!
doin alright, lost 11 lbs. since the 6th. Not losing as fast as I would like, but when was the last time I lost 11 lbs. in a month.....ummmmmm.....never! I throw up about once or twice a week. Still trying to figure things out. Doing good with fluids but not so much with protein. The only protein powder that I like is the chicken soup from Unjury. No pain or anyting anymore, but I can def feel the restriction. Can't wait to be cleared for swimming! Good luck everyone.
I'm doing really well. I'm not quite 2 weeks out and still have a good week and a half of full liquids... dreaming about purees. But, I've lost about 12 pounds since surgery and 13 on the liquids before, so I'll not complain, I guess.
Went for my first regular longer walk this morning and it felt great. Can't wait to take my normal route and conquor the big hill in my neighborhood.
Glad you're all doing well too!

I'm doing well! I'm down 14 pounds since surgery, plus 28 lost during pre-op. I get to start pureed food on friday and I'm SO EXCITED. I ordered click protein powder after seeing eggface write about it. It just came today and it is DELISH, so it is going to be a lot easier for me to get my protein down now. I'm starting to really feel the restriction, but the head hunger still sucks. All those sights and smells are so wonderful! I just went back to work today and things went pretty well and I got a few compliments so that is nice. Overall, life with the sleeve is pretty good so far!
I'm doing awesome!!
I'm 2 1/2 weeks out and down 15lbs.
I'm a revision and a lightweight, so I think it will be a tough go but I'm going to work hard to get those final pounds off. I'm in a stall now too, since last Wednesday. But that's okay, I know it's just my body adjusting to the shock of it all.
I'm already into the mushies stage and so far, so good. When I eat, I stay full (more like content) for hours on so little, it's crazy! I still get a little hungry when my stomach is completely empty and it will tell me with growlies that I need to eat again. I'm getting in lots of fluids, water and crystal lite. My food is mainly soft, mush protein and I still have a protein smoothie or two throughout the day. As for the sleeve, haven't been sick yet, and I just take my time introducing a new food. So far, I haven't had any intolerances, just SICK of the clear liquids, broth and jello!! LOL
I had open surgery so I'm still sore for recovery but every day is getting better. Some days I feel 100% and days like yesterday I get wiped and need to crash sleep from 9pm until 8am.
Glad to see everyone is doing fairly well, and that I'm not alone with the DREADED STALL!!!

It will be 3 weeks Wednesday and I have lost 19 pounds, 9 pounds 1 week preop diet and 10 pounds since sleeved. I have not lost any the last week, the stall is here for me also. I get all my water in and most days more. I get most or all protein in also. Eating soft foods and chewing well. I am just figuring out the full signals and learning to stop before too much food. Never have gotten sick or vomited so far. So far so good, just wish I would loose a little faster.
Hi!
It is hot and humid in Montreal too. Water is definitely not a problem. I'm keeping a food diary, which allows me to see clearly what I'm getting. I've lost 25 pounds since surgery (May 2nd) and have had a stall for about a week or so. The past two days, I can hardly eat though. I try different things and I just get nauseous and have to stop. So I definitely won't weigh myself for a while because of it. I'm going for my first blood test in about a week or so; this may be a promblem because I'm having a hard time getting food in. It doesn't hurt or anything, it's just the nausea gets the best of me.
Good luck everybody!!
