That meat was "Sprayed" with Smart Balance Oil first, than sprinkled with a Specialty Store Western BBQ Rub.

Hey Frisco-

I'm enjoying the food you're posting.  My Dad used to marinate the london broil or flank steak in Italian Salad dressing before grilling.  I'm gonna try some Newman's Own Light Lime Vinegarette.  Keep the food posts coming, I'm using them for inspiration.

Looks wonderful Frisco.
It does look like more than I could eat. Maybe just an optical illusion. Not as much as it appears?
It makes my mouth water.

Wishing you all the best, Carol

Frisco, you seem to know a lot about meat - the cuts and how to slice them, like against the grain.  My dad had an uncle who was a butcher and taught him so much - my father was great at selecting and cutting meat - it made everything tastier.

That dish looks mouth-watering.

Noooo !!!!

I am so in Kindergarten when it comes to cooking......

I am really having a good time learning and trying to blend nutrition, simplicity and art.

You will never find me doing any complex recipes.... I'll go to moms or a restaurant for that !

It's just another part to my effort for long term stabilized weight which I've never had before.

Like most of us.... I thought food and eating was "Over" once I had WLS.....I'm more into food now than ever..... just "good" food now.

Well, I dunno...

I really like to cook, and it seems that you've definitely caught on to the concept of cooking for your eyes as well as your stomach.  Presentation is so important, especially now that we want to get maximum pleasure from what we can eat.

I swear I am buying those damn dishes.
