How do I resize my pics so that they upload?

I think I have done this before but can't seem to figure this out again!! Anyone know the answer? I want to upload a new pic to change my avatar but it says it is too large to do so! AAAh!!

Month 1 = 18.2
Month 2= 10.8
Month 3 = 5.6
Month 4 = 6.2

I google "pic resize" and use the first result. Specify 100 x 100 or whatever OH requires. I had to do this several times before finally figuring it out! :)
