Is it possible to lose 180 lbs with the sleeve?
Others have done it, you should get some replies I'm sure from those who have. It takes work no matter how much we have to lose. Stay focused and on plan, protein first and most and plenty of fluids and take your vitamins and exercise and you will be amazed at the success you can have.
Good luck in making your decision......read, read and re-read all the information you can so you are able to make the best choice for you. The VSG has been awesome for many of us and you won't find many *****gret their decision and for me I'd do this again if necessary in a heartbeat.
Again good luck to you

VSG on 06/06/12
I had VSG on the 23rd of May. I have no regrets, feel great, and very optimistic that I will reach my goal. Your weight and goals are the same as mine, as well as the reasons why you don't want rny, even the volume eating part, and not snacks or sweets! In May of 2010 I weighed my max at 356. In the last year I lost 35 on my own, then in February planned my surgery, and lost down to 315 pre surgery weight. Now I'm at 303 this morning. It's amazing what difference these last 20 pounds have made in how I feel. Not really hungry, able to sit with my husband and even a crowd of family, or close at hand when they have a meal. All this to say, GO FOR IT! I truly believe that I will loose to my goal of about 170-180. I going to do it 10 pounds at a time for as many times as needed to get to goal!! I am 60 years old, and so ready to have a better life, and hope you will decide to have VSG. We can travel the road together!
Hey There!
I had VSG 9 months ago and I've lost a total of 157 pounds. I started at 386. I have about 65 pounds to go and I have no doubt in my mind I'll reach goal. I'm on a freakin' mission! It's not been that difficult, to be honest. I'm 43 years old and female; usually a bad combo for fast weight loss, right? Pre-surgery I always had a hell of a time losing more than 5 pounds a month. Not anymore! I'd say the hardest part has been ignoring head hunger, but so far I'm winning that fight. You'll do just fine....and you'll be amazed at your transformation! Good luck and best wishes to you, my friend! :)

Shrinkingmimi...If you're asking me that question, I eat no more than 1000 high-quality calories (lean protein, premier protein drinks, low-carb vegetables, Fiber one cereal, etc.) Monday through Friday. I allow myself 1200 calories on the weekends; still nutrient dense foods, but I'll throw in an occasional Skinny Cow ice cream or bag of low-fat popcorn. But most importantly, I work out 4 to 5 days a week, 40 minutes each time. I don't snack between meals, and I drink at least 100 ounces of fluid a day. The lack of hunger is amazing, and I still have excellent restriction. Wish I had done this 20 years ago. :)
Thanks. I was asking you. I wish I had done this years ago too, if it was around. You don't have a blog so I appreciate the response. You and OnderlandHereICome just got me to rethink my hesitation at having a "onederland" goal. BTW, I have a great history of working out. I love it. I look forward to doing it again. Losing the ability to exercise like I used to within the last 5 months is what made me decide to get sleeved. My surgery is Friday morning!
Oh, good for you! You're gonna be so happy! Don't worry about a thing....everything is going to go great and before you know it you'll be dropping those pounds like crazy. I'll be thinking about you on Friday and sending out good vibes.....and as soon as I get a new camera, I'll post some before and "now" pictures.....Take care!
