First Stall

So I am almost at 70 lbs lost, which in  3 months I know is great, and i feel fantastic about it.  However, I have hit in the last few weeks my first stall.  I go down a lb, I go up a lb.  I go down a lb, I go up a lb.  Grrrr.  I wonder how much is the fact that I'm not getting my liquids in, and I wonder how much is the fact that I'm not getting all of my protein/calories in.  I'm working on it, but cant seem to fit that much into my stomach, and when I try I just want to be sick.  So, I'm stuck wondering, is this a stall that will break...or is this me needing to push myself even if it makes me sick?  Plus, major bummer, had my first slime...EWW.

Never force something untill it makes you sick. Even if that mean that you didnt hit the "guideline" amount of protein, calories, and water intake.

Remember you are still new to this and your body is still adjusting. I just had a sit down with my nutritionist because i was having a similar problem. Although protein and water intake is fantastic for you, it is not the sole cause to your weightloss. just eat untill you are full. Another point she brought up to me is we (VSG patients) are not on a perfect downwards line on the weightloss charts, it goes up and down, up and down. My first plateau was 3 weeks long and i gained 3 lbs in the middle of it. I am a few days out of that plateau now and im already 5 lbs down.

my best advice is listen to your body, it will tell you what you need. and remember, NEVER force food or anything into your system.  it will make you sick and will have solved nothing because then you would have just purged your system of whatever you just ingested.

if all else fails and you are just not happy with this... try going back to basics start over at step one. let your body reset itself... you have a tool let it work for you.

I hope you work out the plateau soon.

What is "slime?"

Thanks, everything you said makes sense.  I just need to remember I'm not going to lose weight/inches every day.  I think the quick loss of the weight the first few months got me over excited.

The slime, was where I ate too fast, I ended up throwing up the food, but also throwing up a quite a bit of saliva afterwords. Very gross, but only happened once and not at all like vomiting when your sick.  I made it to the bathroom with plenty of time to spare, and just kind of stood there trying to decide what was going on.

Congrats, you're doing great! Not what you want to hear during a stall I know - I just broke a long one by doing...nothing. Changed nothing going into the stall, changed nothing coming out.

Your body needs to adjust. If you're sticking to plan, you'll start losing again. Took me a couple of weeks, and was as frustrating as @#$#^ but it will happen.
