May Sleevers Checking In!
How is everyone doing?
I made my first trip to the gym post-op yesterday and then followed that with a walk on a trail with a girlfriend! I did 5.5 miles altogether and did at least 120 minutes of cardio (45 minutes of intensish cardio). I'm thinking that in 25 lbs or so I'm going to do a couch-to-5k. I used to participate in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day 60 mile walks in Boston, but am thinking that I should probably start with something shorter in the beginning and I've always wanted to run a 5k. I know I'm a bit ahead of myself, but getting back to the gym is putting me in such a positive spirit about exercise!

WOW - great job with the exercise!! I'm trying to work out at least 4 - 5 times per week, but it's tough right now with my daughter in softball. We always seem to be on a field somewhere. Overall things are going great! I am .8 lbs away from 30 lbs lost so I'm pretty pleased. It's amazing how disinterested in food I am. It's just not worth making my tummy hurt in order to eat something I shouldn't . It's easier to just throw in a cheese stick, shrimp, peanuts if I want to "fill up".
Keep up the great work!!!

Boy you are definitely working it girl!
I want to join the gym again but I am sooooo scared. Due to my fibromyalgia & rheumatoid arthritis I am afraid that I will over do it in the gym and wipe myself out. I've been doing a lot of walking . I really need a trainer but can't afford it so for now it's me & the Wii!

Great job! I am looking to join a gym and start next week. I am currently sitting at the hospital with my brother who had an accident and shattered his left ankle. He had surgery on it Monday and is having trouble with pain control. His wife had to return to work today so I told them I would sit with him.
I am doing great now that I can eat some soft meat! I seriously thought if I had to try to eat one more curd of cottage cheese I would throw up! LOL!
I finally have decent energy. Went thru a couple of weeks where I had absolutely no energy. Would try to do a little Zumba, or go for a walk and be wore out for at least a day! That was getting old!
Anyways, Love to see how all of us "May sleevers" are doing! Lets keep each other updated and encouraged!
God Bless!
