One Year!!
I'm not a frequent poster but I am a frequent reader. So here are my random thoughts.
I hit my one year yesterday!! I am four lbs from goal. I have lost 176 lbs total and 135 since surgery. I have to say that the sleeve has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I feel great! I have so much more energy and feel so much more confident. I went to a waterpark a couple of months ago and never worried about how I looked in my bathing suit. I sit in booths now and have no fear standing on ladders, little things that I didn't realize that I had avoided but now make a point to do when possible. I went from a 28-30 sized pant to a 14!! I look as good as I feel. Sure my hair fell out but it came back in curly so I embraced it and got a doo that let the curly locks flow. Not a day goes by that I don't get compliments and have had multiple experiences of people not recognizing me, one was my grandma!! I still avoid sweets 99% of the time, I don't really enjoy them. I avoid bread, rice and pasta. I do great with my protein and water, most of them time. I love veggies, fruit and peanut butter! Wasabi peas are great too =) For those of you contemplating surgery, it is life changing and I am so greatful!
