8 months since surgery, 150 pounds gone!

Hello Friends!

Tomorrow will mark 8 months since my VSG surgery and I hit 150 lbs lost today! It made me so happy and my 3 year old didn't seem to care too much when I told him :) so I thought I would share my happy news with those who would understand, my constant support system here on OH.  I need to share my future mini goals with you all to help hold myself accountable.  I don't know if anyone can relate but if I tell someone or just put it out there what I am wanting to accomplish, I seem to do a better job of getting there.

 -13 more pounds to be at 174 (overweight not obese) July 23rd
 -6 after that to be at 168 (half of the original me)  August 13th
-18 to get me to 150 pounds October 8th
 
Beyond that I am not sure and could use some advice. For those of you who have had a plastics consult or have already had surgery, when did you go for your first visit?  I want to end up between 130 -135 after plastics so I don't know how to estimate how much weight will come off with the skin removal.  Any thoughts?

I have heard that your excess skin amounts to about 10% of your lost weight.  Not sure how accurate that is but if you've lost 150 pounds then you have about 15 pounds of excess skin.

Sorry... I don't know much about plastics other than I don't know if I will be brave enough to do it!!!  Hats off to any one who does!
