gulped and
It's different for everyone, but I'm at 4 weeks out now and can drink just as I did before, though the gulps are a bit smaller just to err on the side of caution. I can still over do it, but overall drinking is pretty much back to normal for me.

I'm with the above poster. It does vary, but I can drink SO much better now than even two weeks ago. I wouldn't say that I am back to my old self, but I don't have to sip, sip, sip. I can do about a small gulp and a half before I have to stop, let it settle, and go again. I do really miss chugging down a bunch of water, but it is getting better.

Thanks Priscilla. Sometimes it is easy to revert to our old ways as things are becoming more normal for us.
Congrats on your weight loss. You are almost there. I reached my goal last week and am very excited.
Just out of curiosity, how did you get your insurance to pay. You started at a pretty low weight. I was a self pay as my insurance co didn't cover under any cir****tances. As expected however, as soon as I had the operation they began to cover. I do have a couple of comorbities and started at 216 and lost 16 pounds for the surgery but at 200 I was slightly under the 35 so chances were they weren't going to cover it for me anyways.
