stupid little plastic chairs...

you know the SMALL outside chairs? We take my son to tumbling class every week, and I have to squeeze myself like a sausage into these things, its HORRIBLE. I am afraid to move because I am afraid the darn thing will crack on me. I don't want to know the truth but I suspect that the legs are bending from the weight. I feel like everyone is looking at me...but its either that, squeeze in or stand and feel like the fat girl on display for the entire hour long class.

Did I mention I cannot WAIT to get this surgery. I hate being fat.

I have the same chair phobia and hate feeling like the fat mommy all the time.

I am still early out and have a ways to go, but I am happy to be on the right track and am looking forward to  leaving those insecurities behind.

Do you have a date yet?

ugh I know what ya mean.. Whenver i go to my brothers taekwando and indoor soccer games i just kinda hide, standing in the corner. Baseball, theres bleachers.. so thats not a problem, lol.

I can't wait either. Things like this will be so much easier after i lose some weight!

I feel your pain...been there done that and still worry about chairs when I go to a new place.
No kids to worry about but there's lots of events that have the same seating arrangements.

However, since I couldn't stand very long due to a bad back I always had a comfy chair in the trunk. Don't know when you have surgery scheduled but there's no need to suffer thru the summer unless you find this too embarrassing. Here's a website with some sale items. They have others...this was in my vendor file.

I share the hate. The back legs on one of those stupid white plastic chairs buckled on me and sent me slooowly falling over backwards.. thankfully I was around friends, it was dark, and most of us were having a few beverages so it was deemed funny by all.. still really embarrassing.

Learned early on to take my own folding captain's chairs.   The nice thing is, even though I technically "fit" in some of those torture devices now, I am reaaaally comfy in MY chair, and the other moms/dads, skinny or not, are still jealous!

One of my NSV's was fitting in those chairs and sitting with confidence! In fact one day I walked through the mall and tried every "small" chair in the "outdoor" cafes. I felt such freedom. I remember walking through the same mall and wishing for a place to sit, catch my breath and let my knees rest a bit and I could not even try to fit in one of those chairs. No problem now, breathing is fine and knees are much better but if I do need to sit I know I can fit.

Don't worry! Soon you will no longer worry about the chair issue!

The chairs from hell! I hate it when I go somewhere and someone will go out of their way to find me a white plastic chair. You can tell that the whole time I'm sitting in it I'm trying not to move....circulation in my legs being cut off and I know if I lean to far to the right I'm on the ground. I hate those chairs! I think that when I'm smaller I'll still hate them.

If you look in the labels of those chairs, I swear you will find 3 sixes!  Those chairs are EVIL!

How about when you sit in them outside and all four legs slowly sink into the ground until your knees meet your chin?
